it was fine, not super clean (we found some old sweets behind the bed) and the fan wouldn't turn off in the bathroom. as everyone else has said, it's noisy because it's so central (a blessing and a curse), but i just put earplugs in and that was fine. breakfast was extremely average.

Location is spot on within the city’s active downtown area. Super easy check in process w extremely friendly reception. They were able to have a taxi pick us up within minutes to get to the bus station. Pay attention to the street number 22A; the hotel sign blends w the facade. It can be easy to miss.

Hotel Fron was a great quick stay on a stay over in Iceland. We booked a different room from what we received, but for a quick stay, it was not a problem at all. Hotel was clean, room was clean, and it was nice to be in the hustle and bustle of town, but could not hear any noise coming from the streets. Staff checked us in early after an early arrival into Iceland. Front desk was also staffed 24/7 which I appreciated, especially when we needed to check out at 3:30 am to catch a bus to the airport for an early flight.

The receptionist was extremely nice. I am not sure what the amenities were but our flight left early and they prepared us a bag with banana, juice, muffin which I thought was great. Good location. Was a little trash outside our room but not sure why people can’t take their own trash out. Also we found it quiet. Our room was behind reception and up some stairs.

The room we had was spacious and well-lit. All the windows had blackout curtains which was very helpful in August. The bathroom didn’t have enough counter top space for toiletries in use, though there was storage space down below for when you weren’t washing your face, etc. The location was unbeatable, nestled in the downtown area with easy access to food, shops, and the waterfront.
