「We were slightly underwhelmed by this apartment rental. There is a lot of potential but we found several flaws that affects our overall rating:
1) there is a coffee maker but no filters and no completely coffee;
2). They cover the shower and bathroom drain with a plastic lid, to keep cockroaches from coming through the pipes. We did not realize that, and almost flooded the bathroom.
3) We found a large cockroach in the room because we forgot to replace the cover(s).

「Kari was fantastic and a great host, extremely helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate us.
Pro tip, sometimes the maps app has a hard time finding the location, so I would suggest having your uber or taxi look up the directions to the restaurant Casa Xachio, which is right around the corner. Other than that, can’t say how much we enjoyed our time here. Great place close to the city but far away to escape craziness of it. Highly recommend it.」

「
The listing states the house can accommodate 6 people; however, we were a group of 5 and found it very uncomfortable. There were only 3 beds available, which was insufficient for our group. We requested extra blankets and a heater, but they were never provided.
Carlos mentioned he would provide an extra room, but this never happened. He also did not offer an extra night without charge as discussed. Check-in instructions were unclear, and we had difficulty locking the front door. Additionally,...

「Wow—what an incredible place! The location is absolutely stunning, and we never got tired of waking up to the view of Oaxaca City and the mountains. The house is comfortable, spacious, clean…perfect for a quiet getaway, and close enough to zip down to the city. The host team (Rafael, Magaly, and Imelda) was always communicative and helpful for any of our questions. Thanks for everything! 」
