"Fantastic value for money. Spacious 2 queen bed room with writing desk, mini-fridge, microwave, hi-def TV, coffee maker, safety deposit box, luggage rack, and ironing board, with very clean bathroom, clean sheets and pillows. The bed was very comfortable. With free wifi, free breakfast, and free parking, this was a steal for $110 a night. Will definitely recommend."

"This kind of place is rare. We've never been to a VRBO or Airbnb or any vacation place that is so beautifully created and hosted. Tom and Karen are exceptionally talented and gracious people. Their guesthouse (where we stayed) is on 5 acres with an easy stroll to the river. I could have sat at the river and watched the current all day, listening to the birdsong. We saw deer and wild turkeys. We loved the quietude and nature, combined with the easy access to places in town - Costco was less than 10 minutes away. We are road cyclists, so we were delighted to be very near some of our favorite paved biking paths along the river and Middle Fork. The guesthouse itself is lovely beyond description. It's the cleanest place we've ever stayed in. The photos do not do it justice in terms of the beauty. It is full of uniquely genius features. The rooms are spacious and inviting. The kitchen is a gourmet's delight and stocked with everything you could possibly think of. The balcony patio looks out over the whole property down to the river and is like a room unto itself. On the 5 acres, there is also a beautiful B & B with huge private guest rooms - it would be a perfect place for a small retreat or special event. We felt privileged to spend two days there and have already have made plans to return for a longer visit."

"The Forest Oasis is a lovely home! Near Island Park, and an easy trail/bike path along the river. The kitchen is nicely stocked for cooking. There are plenty of towels! The back yard is beautifully terraced down a slope to the reeds near the river. It was relaxing, and wonderful to sip coffee on the deck, enjoying the chairs and umbrellaed tables on the deck. The home is nicely and eclectically decorated, Cozy quilts on the beds, and plenty of room for adults and young ones to spread out- though only 2 of us stayed at the home, we asked permission to have a small family gathering. 5 of us enjoyed a home made dinner on the deck, and an evening of comfortable conversation in the living room. When needing a place in Springfield again, I will surely look to stay here."

"Very attentive host, which was appreciated!Sweet treats in the candy bowl when we arrived plus a bottle of wine for us to enjoy! Very nice touch!Property is somewhat close to the Railroad tracks so the train horn can be heard, but we were not really bothered as we're heavy sleepers. We appreciate Ms. Amy opening up her home to us!"
