River's Reach offers everything you need for a relaxing getaway for working in peace or for 2-6 friends or family vacation. I just updated the Wi-Fi so it is not shared and it is strong for all your needs.

The pool (open May through mid-Sept, and heated then!) leads your eyes out to the beauty of the Little Wicomico River, where a dock, kayaks, fire pit, and crab traps await. The poolside deck has built-in benches for lounging, as well as a large outdoor table, and grill, providing ample gathering space for all. Sit out on the dock or lounge by the Fire Pit, where you can also roast S'Mores or Oysters that you purchase nearby. Fishing rods and 4 bikes are also provided. You will have 4 kayaks and the use of the dock by yourselves.

With two Queen-sized beds and a full bathroom on the Upper floor, and a Queen pullout sofa and full bath on the main floor, this Contemporary open-concept home, with soaring ceilings, skylights, and paddle fans is designed to provide comfort and easy living.

Well-behaved 4-legged family allowed!

There is a cozy fireplace if you are here during the holidays. This is the perfect spot from which to make memories as you explore all the Northern Neck has to offer, though post-pandemic some of these sites start closing during the week.

Relaxing week!

We had a nice quiet week in this adorable and clean home just relaxing in the pool and spending time in the kayaks. We ventured out for some yummy Mexican food for dinner, ice cream in Reedville, and the nearby cafe to try their cappuccino and breakfasts but otherwise spent a nice family week playing games and swimming.

Great weekend getaway

We all really enjoyed our long weekend at this property outside Reedville, VA. The pool was a highlight! Property is in good condition overall, if a bit dated, and located in a very quiet residential area. The house is compact and best fit for 2-3 people, and older kids since the interior stairs are steep and there is a lot of water nearby.

Rest & Relaxing trip

This is a wonderful property to visit. It was in a great location with beautiful views. The property is clean, the host was friendly and accommodating. It is a location that I would definitely recommend and go back to visit again.

So much family fun!

Lovely stay

We came in the second half of October and were bummed that the pool was no longer heated, but we still had a great time using the fire pit and the kayaks provided. Allison was very responsive to all of our questions. The staircase to the 2nd floor is as advertised - quite steep and a bit treacherous for small kids but we managed.

River weekend

We had a good time over the weekend, especially enjoyed the infinity pool! Getting the kayaks in the water wasn't as easy as we thought it would be, but we were able to get it done. Allison was very responsive to my questions and was flexible when I thought we were going to have to change our dates. Very nice house in a beautiful location.

Little Slice of Paradise

This place is truly special. As tucked away as can be, yet conveniences can be found not too far away. The pool is HUGE and one of the best I've come across. Looking out over the pool to the river was the most beautiful site and I couldn't wait to get out of bed (or stay in bed - the master has the same view!) each morning to have a cup of coffee and look at it. The house is well-equipped and very comfortable. We could not have been happier with our 5-day getaway. Thank you!

Lovely quiet neighborhood on the bay

Quiet home with beautiful pool and Chesapeake bay views. The beds and sofas are comfortable. The outdoor table is perfect fit poolside dinners. Plenty of towels. Of note: you need to walk through one bedroom to get to the second bedroom. It didn’t bother us. Home is very clean and well kept. I’d recommend adding more dishes: plates and plastic drinking glasses specifically. Host was accommodating and responsive and offered good local suggestions. We enjoyed the local vineyard.

Wonderful long weekend!!

Me and my two sons came down for long weekend at the end of Sept/beginning of October. The place was wonderful and the neighbors all so helpful. The boys enjoyed fishing, kayaking and just hanging out. The area is so quite and peaceful. Mr. Burns the property manager went above and beyond to help me. He helped bring in our things from the car and even came back to give me a bottle of wine. We look forward to coming back when the weather is warm again. Thank you so much for sharing you beautiful place ....

Pure relaxation

This is such a beautiful place all around. The area, the property, the people. The house was perfect for a small group! The pool is just as beautiful in person as it is in the photos. My only frustration was that the pool heater was broken, the water temp was 70 degrees, which was downright painfull and invigorating, we braved it as much as we could! LOL Allison and her team were very responsive to any questions we had overall a wonderful trip! Thank you!!!

Great house!

The pool was amazing and really sold us on booking the house! We also loved having pool toys, bikes and kayaks provided so we didn't have to pack any of those items. If you have little ones, I'd definitely recommend that you bring a baby gate because the stairs are steep. The owner let us know in advance so we were able to prepare! We only wish we would have know that the bedrooms were only semi-private. This made for some challenges with going to bed early and others staying up to watch tv. Overall though, we had a great stay!

Nice Stay

We had a nice stay. The house was nice and had everything we needed. The pool was definitely very nice and the property manager was very helpful as well. Only negative was that the property shares the dock, kayaks, paddle boat, fire pit and pathway to the dock. This was not mentioned in the listing at all and on our last day there was another family at the other property that was using the dock and kayaks so we found something else to do. I feel this should have been clearer in the listing since there was NO mention of sharing any amenities. Everything else worked out well.

Great summertime getaway

We took my parents (86 and 88) for a three night stay and loved it. The house is clean, the owners provide lots of information, and access to the dock is easy (important for my dad who loves to fish but has mobility issues). But the pool was the most amazing part. During afternoons that were far too hot for us to spend time on the dock, we could lounge in the pool while enjoying wonderful views. And it felt secluded and quiet! We loved our stay and are grateful to be able to make memories for my mom and dad..

Amazing time. Very secluded. Such a beautiful and CLEAN place. This was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. They have a little Dyson vacuum to keep it clean. It was great because so many rentals do not even give you a broom to use. Beds are comfortable. The view from the bedroom at night and in the morning was beautiful. We woke up early to catch the sunrise.The pool is so relaxing with the view of the river. We crabbed right off of the dock. Caught so many crabs with hot dogs and Spam. Caught a couple tiny fish off of the dock. There are hundreds of little jellyfish swimming all around. The area doesn’t have much going on but the house had it all. We absolutely loved the place.

Property has lots of character and charm. We enjoyed the infinity pool, kayaking, crabbing from the dock and daily walks. The property is in a fairly remote location but we found that to be a plus. It was a great place to decompress and enjoy nature. The property owner was very responsive at booking and check-in. The only downsides to the property for us were that you had to walk through one bedroom to get the other bedroom and the WIFI was slow. Outside of that we really enjoyed our stay.

Had a really relaxing week..we fished from the dock (didn't catch much but was relaxing lol). The pool was great and spent most of our days there. We had a really bad storm one evening and lost power for 12 hours. We were lucky we had flashlights and a latern in the car..may i suggest you provide one.

Great Girls Trip

Love this house. It was spotlessly clean. Off the beaten path so WiFi and cell service can be spotty. Great to unplug and enjoy all the property and the Northern Neck have to offer. Loved seeing deer and their fawns in the yard!

Beautiful, secluded little retreat.

Nice. Quiet, Very secluded. Was hoping the dock would be good for swimming dogs but it was a little difficult to get down off and leash required. The pool was a little cloudy and debris filled but the owner did say it was a new pool pump. House was clean and well stocked. Overall very nice and relaxing.

Peace and quiet

The property was just as described, very happy with our stay. Well kept home with a beautiful view. Well maintained and lite dock was fantastic, overlooking a protected cove with deep water. Would definitely recommend if your looking for some peace and quiet.
