"Beware...if you buy online, you'll likely be disappointed. The general hotel pics show water views but the rooms and descriptions don't say which rooms face the water. I took a chance and I'm now sitting in a room facing the parking lot. At check-in, I offered to pay more to upgrade to a water view but since I bought it online, they refused to make a change even though they had water-view rooms available and I offered to pay more. Their response: "Call us directly next time." Lesson learned...there won't be a next time. And if you're concerned about security, the external doors at each end of the hotel do not lock."

"Room was clean. Breakfast was hot eggs and sausage day we were there. Basic, but nice place to stay in Reedsport. We would stay there again, if in town!"

"Hey all you reviewers out there, I rely on your reviews to pick hotels. In the case of this place,the reviews I read and the 9.0 score were in an alternative universe compared to the place I stayed at. Yes, the name and address were the same but the descriptions were not of the hotel I experienced. It was a small, old, dark, clean, decent roadside motel from the 40s-50s, but. 9.0???? More like a decent 7.0. It’s a simple mom-n-pop operation with zero amenities beyond the most minimal basic essentials like teeny soap bars and threadbare towels that I admit do get the job done. If you are just looking for a basic place to crash on your way up/down the Oregon Coast, you won’t be disappointed. When I see a 9.0 rated place, I expect a great value. In this case I was disappointed in the place and in my community of reviewers who let me down with their hyperbolic ratings."

"On our first day as we were entering the room the fire alarm went off. It went off again roughly at 10 pm at night when I was already sleeping. I am a fully disabled veteran with ptsd and having to wake up to this again was extremely upsetting. I called Expedia and was told I should hear something from the manager the next day as they were off on our first day there. Unfortunately for me I was never called or checked up on. Guess it wasn’t that important for the manager to check up on a guest"

"Based on the price, it was fine. We were super lucky and got an upgrade because the room type we reserved wasn’t available on arrival. It wasn’t the cleanest, one of the hot water heaters was out, there was a 1/3” gap under the exterior door, making the room cold, but the hotel staff was quick to bring a towel. I demonstrated the gap when she arrived by telling her to look down and see if she could see my finger under the door. Haha - that was so strange. She quickly understood the problem! Again the price and convenient location on our very long road trip made it worthwhile - but I wouldn’t stay again. "
