Peace and Tranquility

Our stay at Harmony Hills over exceeded our expectations. Definitely peaceful and tranquil, the animals on the property was a big hit for our children. Can’t wait to come back!

Relaxing home away from home

My mother, myself and daughters stayed in this home while visiting both WEC and family friends in Ocala. It is conveniently located to WEC; the yard is lovely; the home is slightly dated, but well maintained and clean. It was a perfect spot for us to 'land' while traveling to and fro. I would certainly rent again.

Magical farm in the Country but close to everything

The owners were very responsive and the property was just beautiful. There are horses and cows right on the property. There is an outdoor fireplace for relaxing and the house is well stocked with linens and other conveniences. The house is spacious and really clean. We loved it. It was so peaceful. We rented it to see family for Thanksgiving in Ocala. We intend to rent again on the next visit.

Easter with family

The house, the property, so very beautiful and comfortable. Allowed my family to spend Easter weekend together and attend Mass together at the nearby Christ the King Church where we were welcomed so warmly. A special treat was the beautiful outdoor spaces on the property. I only regret I couldn’t have stayed longer.

Restful stay in the country

I've fallen in love with this area. It is such a beautiful setting, set amongst animals and lovely wide open spaces. The stars illuminate the sky at night...a perfect respite from an all-too busy world.

Amazing place to relax and unwind

Great playing with the cattle and sheep’s, the kids had an amazing time, the property is well taken care of, it would be a bit better if I had a bbq grill

Such potential

The location was great, the home itself was good. Just lack of maintenance and upkeep. Many blown light bulbs, not so clean, grass up to your knees, lots of wasp nest, clothes dryer not working properly. Spent the first evening cleaning house and changing ceiling can light bulbs. Dead cow in back pasture, from the way it looked it had to have been there for quite awhile, the buzzards were feasting. Interesting moment for the 5 & 6 year old granddaughters. As in the title of this review, the property has such great potential. I think all they need is a reliable cleaning and maintenance person.

Beautiful

Beautiful location and house. The house needs a little cosmetic TLC but still wonderful. Toiletries and basic necessities were available. Nice clean towels. Host was very gracious and helpful. Wonderful outdoor seating, where we could enjoy the evening breeze and watch the animals. Country setting but close to the town if you needed anything. Highly recommend this property, especially those who want lots of room inside and out.

After a hard day of work at the Dog Show it was really nice to come back and relax with a fireplace outside and friends. Your home is amazing and we were so HAPPY to spread the word about it...We will be back!!

BEWARE- Poor communication and BED BUGS

After seeing others give this listing 5 stars, we decided to book the property. Unfortunately, our experience was not quite the same as the others. There were no check in instructions given, only an address. Communication with the host was poor to say the least. He took over 24 hours to respond about check in information and that was the last I heard from him. No response upon letting him know one of the toilets broke, no response that we were checking out early (we were there for a work trip that wrapped earlier than expected) and absolutely no response or apology when we discovered one of the beds has BED BUGS! In addition, there was no spare toilet paper, soap, etc available. I would not recommend this place to anyone else and would certainly not stay here again. Disappointed because the location was great and overall, the property was decently clean. This could be a great money maker for the host but to do so, a few things need to change/improve.

My Children did not want to leave!

We stayed at this wonderful property this past week with our 3 girls during their spring break. We are huge animal lovers and we were in awe of all the animals on the property. My girls enjoyed being outside with them, playing by the well, the basketball court, and the amazing fire pit. The true gem of this property is being outside and enjoying all the views on the wooden deck. We did many tours nearby. Zip lining, horseback riding, Devils Den, and the springs. All 20 - 30 minutes away! We will definitely come back!

Nature's remedy

If you like peace and quiet and the company of animals, this rental is perfect. Close enough to stores, but far away enough to make you feel disconnected. Very comfortable home. Really hoping that this home will be available next winter.

Quiet Country Stay

We really liked the house near WEC. It had a nice open concept with large living areas. The patio and screen room was nice with a pretty view of the countryside and the cows. The patio has a very nice gas fire pit, but we couldn’t use it because the gas was empty. The screened room was nice when it got cold. The sofa looked nice at first but it was very soiled and covered with crumbs. The kitchen was roomy, but the refrigerator, microwave and some dishes weren’t clean. If you stay you will want to provide your own pans, as the ones there were scratched Teflon. Very tiny coffee maker, but it worked. I would have liked more communication with our host. I had to contact our host for check-in info to get in the door and WiFi info. Our host was so kind to let us go in earlier than the checkin time, and I was so thankful for that. The beds were adaquate and the linens were thin and pilled. The pillows were old, flat and soiled. The bathrooms were nice, but some of the towels were stained, some very thin others looked like rags. Minimal paper goods, so bring your own. Other than the cleanliness issues the house was nice and we did enjoy our stay there. The countryside is beautiful, so enjoy it.

Perfect Vacation Rental

This property was perfect. We came down to race a regional stock car race and this property was 10-15 min from the track. We were able to bring our dogs, there was a huge property for them to run on and the house was very clean. The owner checked in thru message on the VRBO app to make sure everything was good. This rental was more than we were expecting and we plan to make this property our annual vacation rental.

Perfect Country Setting.

This home is set in beautiful Ocala horse country. It is convenient to the city and I-75. Very quiet and serene setting with private entrance gates and paved driveway. The home is clean, roomy and comfortable.

Lovely location, could use more cleaning.

My family and I stayed on this property while we were in town visiting family. The overall stay was nice but there were a few things I was not thrilled with. The property was beautiful and we loved the cows and the location was very secluded and quiet. Upon arrival the house smelled very nice and appeared to be clean. Once we started to settle in, however, we noticed that surfaces like kitchen counters and furniture were not cleaned very well. There was dust and crumbs on several of the surfaces. I understand that this is a pet friendly rental but as such, there should be extra attention given to cleaning. There was pet hair everywhere and the living room area smelled of dirty dog. After showering, I dried off with what seemed to be a clean towel but ended up with dog hair stuck to me. I am not saying this just to complain but only to give honest feedback that you can use to make this a truly outstanding place.

Feels so homey

I have stayed here twice for a horse show. I just how how homey and quiet it is here. Anytime I have ever had to reach the property manager they have always been so quick to respond. I would most definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Quiet Country Home !!!

10 minutes NW of Ocala is all you are, but this very special, quiet, clean & most comfortable home will make you think civilization is far, far away !!!!! Pastures with grazing horses surround this warm, very clean & most comfortable home, and the back yard patio is nothing short of relaxing! The property owner is most responsive to any questions & was great to communicate with ! A must stay for a relaxing & comfortable time “on the road” !!!!

Harmony Hills

Idyllic private setting that was exceptionally clean and accommodating. . Host was a pleasure to deal with - quick to respond to check in questions and had a bottle of champagne and chocolates waiting for us upon arrival. Beds and bedding were very comfortable and appreciateD the nice touches ( shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided ). Didn’t want to leave!
