"It was good for the price, compared to the hotels closer to the Barnes facility nearby. The room smelled a little like it had recently had a pet staying in it. There was no breakfast meat (turkey sausage would have been nice). The folks working there were wonderfully helpful, especially considering that my husband is disabled."
La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Festus - St. Louis South
4/10 Poor
"The staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel itself left MUCH to be desired. I requested a crib/pack & play when booking and none were available when we checked in. The sheets were gross. I have no other words for it. We checked out and went down the road to the Holiday Inn. I have never left a hotel before due to uncleanliness but there was no way I could, in good conscience, allow my toddlers to sleep in those conditions. Also, the elevator was broken and we were on the 3rd floor. I don’t like leaving poor reviews but I took pictures of the sheets just for proof because it was not good. 😳 The area also just did not feel that safe. Disappointed in the experience overall. I have stayed in plenty of LaQuinta Inn’s before and absolutely none have ever been like this."
"nothing was up to standards, everything was dirty, saying the staff was unhelpful is giving the too much credit, the breakfast was always cold and disappointing. I would not stay here again if it was the only place available my car is a better choice. "
"Rooms huge, everything new, parking easy. Some parts still seem to be under construction, so there is an uneveness to the experience, but I'm sure it will be great. The one thing that was off-putting was the woman manning the desk when we checked in. She was curt and not welcoming. "
"The room was clean overall except for the carpet- stained a dirty. It looks like they updated the room but not the carpet. They are renovating the hotel so lots of construction garbage and dust. The toilet in our room could barely flush 2 pieces of toilet paper- very low pressure- but the shower pressure was great! The pool area was dirty with cigarette butts so we did not swim.
The breakfast area was clean and the food was pretty decent! Maybe when the whole hotel is renovated it will be much better! "
