"Eric made sure my wife and I had everything we needed during our time celebrating our honeymoon in the Cooks. Felt like our very own tree house in the rainforest, can’t wait to come back!"
"Beautiful place to stay, the resort is in the best side of the island where there is shelter from the wind and an amazing restaurant on site. Had multiple gluten free options in the complementary breakfast and the staff were very lovely. Also loved the guest room with shower for a late checkout and the free airport shuttle. "
"Great place to stay on the west side of the island. Buses going both ways stop right out front on the main road. Makes things super easy. Beautiful sunsets at night. "
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cooks Oasis! Although the resort is a bit difficult to find, due to signage at the street having been removed, we loved the location. We checked in on a Sunday which meant the staff was not working. No problem, they got the room ready and left us a note on their reader board as to how to access our Villa. This resort is not on the beach, but the walk down the shared driveway is very short and the beach is amazing. If you feel like doing a longer walk, it is only about 8 or 9 minute walk down the beach to Black Rock. We would absolutely stay here again if we return to Rarotonga. Our favorite local hangout was around a five or 6 minute drive from Cooks Oasis. If you have the chance visit the "Shipwreck Hut" beach bar. Good food and drinks. All of the staff were incredibly friendly. The view from the bar area is spectacular."
"Stayed 7 nights in a very nice beachfront room in beautiful gardens and grounds. Quiet and perfect for a relaxing holiday. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Restaurant was only average & beach loungers and chairs need cushions/sunlounge covers, as very uncomfortable."
"On arrival, the bach was very dusty, which didn’t align with the cleaning costs that were charged. The floors needed mopping, the couch was covered in fingerprints, and the jute rugs have seen better days. We vacuumed the house as soon as we arrived. There is a crack in the front door which is a safety hazard, especially as we were travelling with children. The front door does not lock with a key from the outside. It appears the exterior part of the lock has been changed, but the inside is still the old mechanism, meaning the house is unlocked when you leave and you have to trust no one will steal your belongings. Although it can be locked from the inside at night. There are also cracked tiles just outside the bathroom, which are a trip hazard. The pool edges are starting to rust and some are even missing, exposing sharp edges. It may be an issue if someone were to scrape themselves. There is a dog that regularly sits under the veranda and will wipe muddy paws on towels or clothing if left outside. WARNING we were charged for washing towels that became dirty due to the dog.On the positive side, the bedrooms are a good size, the beds are comfortable, and there were five fans available to help with the heat.Kitchen was well equipped if you wanted to cook. The caretaker was very helpful. Overall, the bach has potential, but improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and clearer expectations around pets and provided amenities would greatly improve the experience."
