"Breakfast was ok, and yes there was adequate parking. I think that property owners are not doing their job. The towels, the plumbing, scent in the corridors and etc. I know that it’s relatively inexpensive but if you’re putting your name on a property, it should meet a standard. The Carpenter does not even meet an average standard. Would not recommend. I would not recommend it as a job opportunity, you can’t do a good job if your corporation doesn’t care. "

"The checking in process was pretty fast. However the gentleman at the reception desk was not very friendly. I walked up and said hello, he said how may I help you? no hello back. Them he sort of pointed to the back and said the elevators are to my left.He was not wearing a name badge so I do not know his name, but the other two young ladies that I came in contact with at the desk were much better. Not overly friendly, but much better."

"I booked the presidential suite. One small trash can in the whole place. Then opened the closet and there was a hole the size of my fist. Every time you close and open the bathroom door it would get stopped by the ironing board(this was the cause of the hole in the wall) which made I’d hard for a big guy to get out of the bathroom without yelling for help. Great location just not very well maintained for a downtown hotel. Paid a lot extra for the Presidential room but never again it wasn’t worth it. It was room number 200."

"Front desk staff was very slow, trying to work on two computers and his phone to get us checked in, then he told me my military id was not a real id. Then made me redo the whole check in process that they had me do online, again in person. He made comments about getting a really big room (1 room with 3 Queen beds) after knowing I booked for 2 adults and 4 kids. Room was dirty. Dust and dirt in all corners of the bathroom and on top the the shower. The fridge made a weird noise and wouldn't get cold. Dust on the tables and lamps. Room service opened our room door at 9am!!! 2 hours before check out without even knocking."

"It was clean. No bugs. No noisy neighbors. But the door wouldn't stay closed or locked. After closing and pushing on it several times, it would stay shut. But super easy to break into. Just push really hard on it. The only security was the swinging arm latch. There were only 3 other residents on my side. Not much activity. So all was good. But very unsafe. New door knobs had already been installed once. But it needs definite improvement. Other rooms are likely the same way otherwise they would have given me a better room."
