About this property

Quiet home on horse farm, halfway between Paducah & Wickliffe. Close to 60 & 286

  • Built originally in the 40s by my father-in-law for his new bride, this home raised my husband and his four siblings. The property has been owned by this family since the 1880s. It was a general farm, then a dedicated dairy farm until the early 1990s. When the dairy operation sold out, we bought the home place and some surrounding acreage. My daughter and her husband now live down near the barns and manage it as an equine facility. We live a few miles away. The Redhouse is between Highways 60 and 286, easily accessible from highway 2532 (County Line Rd), which connects the two state highways. The house has a Ring camera at the front door and the side door. No cameras inside.

It was a great place to stay. It’s very easy to get to Paducah and other sites from the house. The host is so great to communicate with. We had to change a day due to my husband interviewing at a church unexpectedly and she was quick to fix it for us. They also provided farm fresh eggs, which we love and muffins for breakfast. There were even some snack bars. We’ve never stayed anywhere that had great cooking utensils as they have here. We want to book again and see things we didn’t get to do because of the weather.
