Travel Guide
Quezon City featuring forest scenes
The most populated city in Metro Manila is also one of the most exciting, with iconic monuments, glittering malls and scenic escapes.

Travel the breadth of Quezon City and you will pass districts with all kinds of food to sample, exciting entertainment hubs and even serene pockets of nature. This multifaceted destination promises art galleries, stylish shopping malls and captivating historic sights. To get to the heart of Metro Manila, visit Quezon City.

Discover a city that was designed and intended as a new capital for the Philippines. President Manuel L. Quezon commissioned the building of a city named after him in 1938, making this district one of the newest parts of Metro Manila.

Head straight to the heart of the city in Quezon Memorial Circle. This national park features a famous monument to its namesake president, as well as a play area for children.

Visit the QCX Museum, which has interactive exhibits dedicated to the social history of the region. Use the interactive tablets found throughout the museum to learn about the legacy of President Quezon.

Sample the flavors of the Philippines in Maginhawa, the food center of Quezon City. This constantly evolving neighborhood offers a plethora of restaurants serving both tasty Filipino and international dishes. Alternate between its street food trucks and buzzing casual restaurants for a culinary exploration of Metro Manila’s food scene.

Escape from the constant bustle of the city into La Mesa Eco Park. Cycle around shaded paths that circle a lake or hike across the forests here. This park is rather vast and some travelers hire guides to help show them around.

Become part of a painting at Art in Island. This unique gallery gives visitors the chance to pose in 3-D paintings for eye-catching photos. It is worth setting aside several hours to enjoy every aspect of this fun museum.

Quezon City is one of the northernmost cities in Metro Manila. Ride the Metro Rail Transit (MRT) from Manila City to reach the city center. Public transport systems run throughout the city.

Go to Quezon City between November and May for the best weather and festive celebrations.
