Good location just a very short walk from all activities in Queenstown centre. Nice little room with fridge, microwave, kettle and electric heater. Bathroom was spacious with separate toilet room. Shower water pressure and temperature would randomly fluctuate continuously, probably when the laundry facilities were going in the next door room. Staff were very happy to change notes for coins for the self serve laundry facilities (limited hours of operation before 6pm). Overall we had a very comfortably and enjoyable stay!

Really enjoyed our stay at the Amber Lodge. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and the room itself was well-equipped with all the basics. Despite having some pretty major road works outside - which was not ideal - it's in a brilliant location, literally metres from the centre of town - great for exploring!

It was clean and very close to the CBD. Great value for money as it has everything you need and if you're not worried about being in a new complex then I would recommend it

Fantastic location (apart from the current roadworks outside) clean, rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Place is in need of some upkeep and the rooms are not serviced but would most definitely stay again.

Proximity to the main town was fantastic. Unfortunate roadwork right out the front of the property. The only advantage with this is there was no traffic noise. Wifi was horrible.

Convenient location

We booked the 2 room unit for 5 of us. Room was a bit squeezy for 5 plus our luggages. Kitchen was well equipped so we managed to do some cooking. Bed was too soft but most of the places we stayed had the same issue so its a matter of preference. Within minutes of walking to town centre and the gondola. Four squares supermarket 3 minutes walk.

It is ok for short stay.

Overall our stay in the 2 bedroom unit was comfortable, as the living room, kitchen and bathroom are reasonably large and overall the place is quite clean. It is disappointing that the internet was bad, bedrooms were both quite small, the living room and kitchen were both really dark and the motel was not serviced. On the other hand the people at the reception desk are quite nice and helpful. It looks like an old motel so repairs and maintenance are needed. Location of the motel is good. It is ok if you want short stay.

Friendly owner, nice clean unit, wifi wasnt great, washing machine in laundry took around 3 hours for a small wash, maybe a water issue at the time? Shower drain overflowed, but we worked out how to pull the blocked section out to stop water overflowing out of the shower. Unfortunately major road works happening on the road outside motel while we were there, so noise was pretty awful, but luckily only during day. Not great sound proofing between units, we were in unit 5, the unit below us had people up chatting and laughing throughout the night and then from around 5am onwards, which was pretty annoying. Very central though, and reasonably priced. Would go back again.
