From the large sun terrace you have a wonderful view of the garden, the house's own olive grove and the village of Faucon in the background. Right next to the modern kitchen at the back of the house is another covered terrace with barbecue area, ideal for lunches on hot summer days. A beautifully landscaped pool provides refreshment. Your holiday home is located in the hilly foothills of the legendary Mont Ventoux, halfway between the picturesque stone villages of Puyméras and Faucon. In the small village of Puyméras you will find a gourmet restaurant, café and bakery, and on Wednesdays and Saturdays there is even a small market. In the neighbouring village of Faucon (1.5 km), organic wine and olive oil are produced, a tasting of these regional specialities should definitely be on your holiday programme, as should a visit to Vaison-la-Romaine. The town is known for its Roman excavations and its summer festivals. You can get active on the signposted hiking and cycling trails nearby or on the climbing walls in the Toulourenc valley. Here you will also find many hidden bathing spots. For a day trip, plan the Lavender Route, Avignon (55 km), the Camargue or the Mediterranean (1.5 hours by car). A sunrise on the 1912 m high Mont Ventoux, popular with cyclists and fans of the Tour de France, is certainly one of the highlights of your holiday in Provence.
