"The pool was great. Very few people there, plenty of space. Previous guest reviews indicated that there were beach chairs for use but there were none. We bought two and left them in the unit for future guests. Check with host before you book. Beach chairs was a primary consideration for us when we booked."

"Apparently “check in time is 3pm” for tradewinds means “UNTIL 3 pm”. We and another family arrived around 5:30 and were shocked to find out that, at this one hotel in all the world, the listed check in time is the last time you can check in. And there is no late check in and nothing to do about it. We lost our money and had to scramble for another place at 5:40 pm in little Esperanza. Yes, when we made the reservation we signed a thing saying no late check in allowed. But the listing in the app clearly says 3pm check in. Sending a passive message is simply not enough. This policy is so outrageously unique that it needs to be treated as such. This is especially true on Vieques, where travelers very easily might not make it by 3pm due to ferries and taxis. The real kicker is that this policy is completely unnecessary. The property has keypads on the doors! We didn’t need a physical check in at all! The other property I booked at the last minute simply texted me the code. Would have been simple to do the same. Overall I expect this happens many times. It happened twice on our day. "

"The Villa Coral crew was excellent. They were very accommodating when we arrived early due to early ferry arrival. They allowed us to store our luggage in their office. After that, our room was ready much earlier than the scheduled check-in. All our needs were met during stay. The touchless check-in and check-out was seamless. We will be returning to the island and we recommend to stay at the Villa Coral. "
