This resort was beautiful! However, it is very humid there. The AC could not keep up with the heat. This left our bedding feeling damp and wet every night. We took 33 damp rid bags with us but it was still not enough. We got an oceanview room. However, we had to keep our curtains closed so it would stay cool in our room. It was a bummer we couldn't enjoy it. The fridge in our room also could not keep our stuff cold or keep up. Overall, the resort is beautiful and the staff is amazing!

The place is beautiful but the check in and check out takes way too long. The service in The Valley was not good, there was a female worker who rolled her eyes at the customers when she was annoyed, very unprofessional.

The hotel is beautiful. The downside was that my reservation included acces to the Waterpark and the waterpark was closed. Basically I learned it was closed the day I arrived. I escalated it to the hotel staff and basically told me that they could not do anything.

We could hear everything from the next room and when we called to complain, they gave us attitude and were a little bit rude. (Reception and Customer Service Public Relations) Food was okay, the customer service at the bar, restaurants and pools were great though.

Long check in lines and slow front desk staff made it an hour long nightmare. Our first room was not fully cleaned. The balcony had cigarette butts and ice cream mess. The second room had cigarette burns on the sofa and human hair on the armchair. After speaking to the supervisor Jerson we got a clean room and his assurance that missing iron and kids bed will be addressed promptly. 3 hours later we get to the room to find out that nothing had been done. Staff is a hit or miss. I was asked by the staff to help him and bring empty glasses from the opposite side of the pool. How's that level of service for a 5-star resort. Pools are poorly maintained. Straws, cups dirt can be found on the bottom for many days in a row. Tables on the beach are dirty and staff passing by as if it's the norm. Lopesan is more smoker friendly than kids friendly. Ashtrays thoughout the property. People smoking everywhere with zero regard for the others or the kids. The pillows were terrible. Asked for another pillow and was told to go to the front desk to leave a $30 deposit. I've stayed at cheaper hotels that had multiple pillow options in the rooms. The TV's are your typical TV from a 10-15 year old hotel. While most newly built resorts have internet access and YouTube, Lopesan TV's offer only regular TV channels with not so many options for the kids. The price may seem good for a family friendly 5-star resort but in our case we overpaid for something that was more like a glorified 3-star resort.

Great All inclusive hotel, the staff was always super helpful, they will always make sure we were having a great time. Dinner options, entertainment, amenities, all were great! Property was very clean, organized and beautiful. We will come back for sure!!

It was a beautiful resort. Very modern and clean. The staff was great and even the people who visited the resort at the time were also respectful of other people. It was amazing!

There is a beautiful beach that is totally invaded by a whole bunch of boats, each playing its own music that competes with the music from the resort. It is absolutely annoying, not relaxing at all. One of the boats almost ran me over. Also annoying that unless you have a cell phone, you cannot order at the restaurants. All menus are to be "scanned" or accessed in the app. What if I don't want to have a cell phone on my vacation or if it breaks down? Staff is very nice and try to be helpful. There is no air conditioning in the lobby area and it took forever to get us checked in. We were exhausted, sticky, etc. The pool was extremely hot and it has no shade. The construction of the resort itself tends to cut the air flow so it is suffocating.

They have a great concept, this hotel is fairly young however the builders may have over looked certain thing, for example i could not enough use my terrance when it rained my terrance ceiling was constantly drop plaster onto my deck and getting on the furniture seem like something wasnt properly sealed during the construction because my neighboring room didnt have that problem. A beautiful veiw from that balcony i really couldnt enjoy was a shame. The food was great and the staff was great if lopesan corrects some of this issues i see a very bright future for that place.

This was an amazing property. To the point where you don’t have to leave it. I went on a solo trip and had an amazing experience great food , good drinks, ambiance, with multiple pools and the Bavaro beach to enjoy. There is also excursions conveniently ready to book through the resort. I would mainly suggest it to couples going for relaxation or adult groups.

We had a great stay at the property! The staff was friendly and very hard working. The food was good, not so much the Asian dining restaurant, but the other restaurants were good. The gym was nice but it would be good to have bottles of cleaner around to clean your own equipment because it didn’t get cleaned between people. The other complaint I have is that the beach swimming area is very small. We had to walk down the beach to another resort to get to an area where you could actually swim and enjoy the water. For a resort this big and nice, the water should be a priority.

Hotel is huge, like a maze. Staff is friendly, buffet was a hit and miss, there was not much activities around pool or live music. I got really sick due to food poisoning which worsened my view of the hotel, but to be fair is pretty, clean, but a little bit boring. Beer was local, most of times not cold enough. Room is good. Coffee shop really good

The water park was closed with no notification was offered that was very disappointing, the restaurant reservation were very bad and the restaurants were empty the entire time and staff did not accommodate walk in even do the restaurant was empty. We loved the Bedroom, it's Comfortable and Inviting without leaving behind the Bathroom, which was very relaxing. The balcony was is also very spacious. In general, the entire construction of this building is immaculate and elegant. They din't have any service on the beach and it's to small and so may boats, hundreds of people come daily to party it's a little intimidating

Confusion to get around property. All the staff was 5 stars!! The beds were hard, so i had to use several pillows to lay on. If you had any issues they addressed it immediately!! Pay attention and reserve at the specialty restaurants. However, there was plenty of places to eat. Alcohol was plentiful. The beach front had a lot of seaweed but once you got in the water it was warm. The water was blue not clear. Excursions were reasonable. I didn’t like the fact that the clubs wouldn’t diversify the music.

I loved that it offered so many different restaurants, the property was huge which made it a task to walk around but the staff was always helpful. Disliked not having a face towel to shower with and had to buy them in the gift shop but overall I loved it and will be back

They gave me a different room, the air conditioning didn't work well, the refrigerator didn't work either, the iron didn't heat up, the showers didn't work, the buffets were never good, they took a long time to fill them, the beer in the bars was very bad and hot, the bottles of The water they had in the freezer of each bar was always hot, in the lobby it was always very hot, having air conditioning and many other things.

Very nice resort. The rooms, buildings, outdoor areas, and pools were all very nice. The beach itself wasn't as pretty as others I've been too. The service was all great with the exception of the french restaurant. I personally wouldn't bother getting reservations for any of the restaurants. I would just stick to the buffet and room service (which is included). The food at the restaurants were either the same or worse than the buffet. That being said I thought the buffet was pretty good and had good variety. There were multiple bars at various locations and the drinks were included. My one gripe about the outdoor area is that i wish they'd had more restrooms around the pools.

First time experience with all-inclusive at Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort. Everything is well-prepared from food to drinks and scenic spots. A lot of things to do and try within the facility. They can also recommend excursions to fit your schedule. Excellente!
