Just A Stone's Throw Cabin
from Eminence, Jacks Fork, & Cross County Trail Ride
10/10 Excellent
"Very much enjoyed the property. Clean, no surprises, owner was clear about what they would and would not provide. Easy walk to restaurants and conveniences. The large overhangs are a HUGE plus during rainy weather."
"We were disappointed with the room. The alarm clock with the phone charging ports didn’t work, the screen door was missing, the toilet you had to hold the handle down for the toilet to flush, only 2 tiny trash cans available, when I went to empty the trash, all of the outdoor trash cans were overflowing until the following day. We tried eating at the lodge in the dining room. Waited 20 minutes and still weren’t offered drinks or silverware and noticed everyone in the dining room were still waiting on their food, so we ended up leaving. A biker gang came into the parking lot revving up their engines and driving through the grass and a guy interrupted us and others very rudely on a paddle board while we were trying to fish talking ignorant to everyone saying he could do what he wanted. My husband and his family have been visiting for decades and this weekend was the worst experience we have ever experienced. Definitely not worth $500 for our stay."
"Check-in was a problem. New computer system at the lodge didn't pull any Expedia reservations over so they had to create my reservation while I was standing there. They also tried to get payment from Expedia while I was standing there. After about 30 minutes. They let me go ahead and go to my room. Also worth noting that cell phone reception is spotty at best, mostly non-existent.
Otherwise, the facility was beautiful."
"Great location in town. Good parking. Easy to carry in luggage and supplies. Ate most meals there. Close to river and water activities. Slept good every night. Little minpin happy. Great to be in Shannon county. Host takes pride in providing pleasant place to stay. Hope to return soon."
"Very cozy cabin for peaceful weekend! Enjoyed watching the horse riders going by during the day. Saturday get together at the ranch bar with live music was fantastic. Also note this cabin has the BEST water pressure we've ever found!"

"Amazing property! If you’re looking for seclusion in the Ozark Hills, this is it! Understand that you do get off of the paved highway and on to a gravel country road. I recommend sport mode if you have it. These are not hills for a novice. You have three big hills before you get to the property, but along the way, after your first hill, you can make a quick stop at the Lick Log Hollow Nature Trail. it’s a mile long and once you get about halfway on the trail you understand why this park is here… Wow! The host is accommodating and easy to get a hold of. Definitely a trip we’ll never forget!"
"The ad said toiletries. There were none. I had to buy shampoo, conditioner, hand soap. I left dish liquid and paper towels for the next renters because there were none. To make their stay better. The floor was not swept good. I also swept it. Location was great. We floated the curr and it took us right to where we were staying. Pretty view."
