Good and not so.....

Bit hard to find from road on sea front but not too far from centre by foot.... I had problem getting courtesy ride to start of my tour as promised when I checked in as staff next day seemed unaware of arrangement .....bit stressful but eventually just made it in time

Tuvimos la oportunidad de pasar una noche en Puerto Varas y el servicio en el hotel fue muy bueno.Desde que llegamos, El señor Francisco en la recepción nos orientó muy bien, inclusive nos recomendo hacer una ruta en auto hasta el volcán y nos ayudó con la reservación del carro. El hotel es de un ambiente muy acogedor y muy particular en su diseño. El único detalle a mejorar fue un olor que tenía la habitación, que inicialmente pensamos que era como especie de humedad, pero ya avanzada la noche se fue incrementando y fue un poco molesto.

Problems with plumbing, moved us to another hotel

Arrived to find out the hotel had tried to contact us to tell us our room was not available due to a plumbing problem. They booked us in to another hotel and provide a taxi. Never stayed at this hotel.

A Casa Kalfu foi uma grata surpresa. O hotel é bem bonito e aconchegante. O quarto é bonito, a agua quente funciona sem interrupção e possui calefação. O pessoal é bem atencioso e nos cedeu abridor de vinho e demais artefatos para petiscar queijos que havíamos comprado. A Internet é free, mas só funciona bem na sala do térreo. Fica há uns 10 ou 15 minutos de caminhada do centro, o que só é incomodo em dias chuvosos de inverno. Seria de novo nossa opção se voltássemos à cidade.A Casa Kalfu foi uma grata surpresa. O hotel é bem bonito e aconchegante. O quarto é bonito, a agua quente funciona sem interrupção e possui calefação central.

Puerto Varas

Having booked well in advance, disappointed that we didn't get a Lake View room as requested. Staff very helpful, one spoke fluent English. Location - 15 minutes out of the main town but the walk is not difficult.

Hotel boutique en Puerto Varas

Me parece una excelente alternativa a los hoteles tradicionales de mayor precio. Es una casa tradicional que fue remodelada con muy buen gusto y que es atendida en forma muy agradable por sus dueños y personal de ayuda. No solo lo recomiendo sino que probablemente yo mismo vuelva en el futuro. Un lindo hotelito a escala humana...

Outstanding place

This is a terrific place, with a great host. It is very like a Swiss chalet, with conversation area, bar, and Internet access. Amenities first-class. A half-block up from a park on the lake with great views of the volcanos. It's 9 blocks or so from downtown, which is a tougher walk the older you are; it's very doable but be forewarned. I recommend it highly.
