"This resort is pretty good and once we got used to the facilities we had a blast! The staff is really nice and helpful, but not always efficient. We had to switch rooms because the first one they put us in had a strong and overpowering musty smell. It took them a day to figure that out for us and they ended up putting us in a smaller room, but the smell was much better so we gladly took it. Following this, the concierge team checked in and took care of us. We were also handed off from the check in staff to a time share staff who told us he was there to help get us settled. He said he was going to take us on a tour of the resort the next day and offer us prizes and a complimentary massage coupon to celebrate the resort’s anniversary. This all turned out to not be fake and the next morning he picked us up and took us straight to the time share office and we walked away. The time share staff are typically hanging out in the lobby and main square in white shirts. Outside of these things, the food is pretty good and the facility is nice. The beach is not great, we much preferred the pools. The water slides are fun for kids and any of the shows taking place outside in the main square at night are a must see! We woulf gladly return if we get the chance."

"We recently stayed 5 night's. We had private transfer from airport thru mts which i highly recommended so you dont have to wait for others. Check in we were upsold to a swimout by the ocean. Do not do that. In the photo they showed us, it showed a cabana in front of your room but it was like the land of broken cabanas that sat in front of your ocean view and were stacked 2 deep. Would have never upgraded if had known that. Would have stayed with our original swimout. Also ( not the hotels fault) the sargassum all collected right in front of our view. So stay away from these swimouts. Our butler was amazing. We had 2 during our stay and they did great. Room service was great. Cleaning staff was awesome. Definitely recommend the spa. Food was okay but didnt like that the " best" options/ restaurants you had to pay extra for. Was told few years ago the " best" options/ restaurants were included. The pool and activities were a great time. The best thing is walking playa del carmen. That was an absolute blast. If trying to be sold a different room just ask to see it first. "

"It is a beautiful hotel! There is no property around it to go for a stroll on property! I know the water of the ocean is rising so there is very little ocean beach!"

"Beautiful resort with fun games every afternoon. The kids loved it. Buffet food was as good as any all-inclusive with the Mexican food and fresh fruit being excellent. The animals make it worth going to this resort at least once. Worst dinner-reservation situation I've seen at an all-inclusive. You have to wait in line every morning to make one reservation for dinner two days in the future, if you get in line early enough."

"We stayed in the family resort. I think our stay would've been better if our room was located in the main building by the lobby and restaurants. The distance to the lobby was the same as walking across the street in the blazing sun. Highly recommended to ask for a room in the main lobby building. Buffet was not good. Not a lot of variety. Didn't seem very food safe for most of the foods; sweaty cheeses, cold meat and fruit just sitting out and not on ice or anything. You're better off ordering room service or reserving a restaurant! We tried to book an excursion, but guest services kept giving us different prices right in front of our eyes. We discussed a price the day before and agreed upon it. My husband took a photo of the info, next day we decided to go back and pay for the excursion. Guest service told us that they didn't offer that price. We showed them a photo of what the offered and they said "it was a mistake." Promotion was also offered if you gave 45minutes of your time to learn about "the circle"~ it's $32k if you want to be a member! Lots of pools for families. Beach had seaweed every day. Beaitiful mangroves. Lots of activities for kids."
