What an amazing location. The staff is great, breakfast is great, the pool and hot tub is great! Next door is the exquisite cooking class with Sergio! Will always recommend.

Excellent place, with an amazing view!! The service provided was extraordinary, always pending of my family needs, even when we were exploring the town! We were informed about best places to visit or information on how to use local transportation to move around. Villa I’ll Frantonio was a perfect place to stay while touring the Amalfi coast. Giacomo and Cristina were great hosts and so very helpful providing information on activities, restaurants and transportation around the area. Breakfast was included and it was cooked fresh, hearty and included many local seasonal items. One could walk directly to the “Path of Gods” hiking trail right from the hotel which was a bonus as was the heated pool and sun loungers which afforded an amazing view of the ocean. 5 out of 5 stars for this wonderful boutique hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay here - A beautiful villa in a scenic and peaceful village. The room was clean, spacious and loved how the history of the villa was preserved within each room. It is a short walk/bus ride from two lovely beaches and many great, authentic restaurants. Giulio, Samuele and Gianluca were so friendly and helpful throughout our trip :)

Giulio is great and so is the rest of the staff. Honest and stright fw with everything. Breakfast was very nice with stuff fresh from the garden. If you had any questions he was instantly back to you if you did not see him or the staff around.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. The room, the private grassy terrace, the pool with the ocean view, all absolutely stunning. The host was so kind and met our taxi up the hill and carried my very heavy backpack down to our room for me. Extremely welcoming and gave us info about bus times and transportation for the rest of our travels. The pool was lovely and had the best view, lounge chairs, and beverages available. It is up a hill so be ready to walk down into town, only about 0.5 miles down to many beautiful ocean view restaurants and some do have shuttle service back up. If you want to enjoy the best view in a gorgeous room and amazing hospitality, stay here rather than the very touristy Positano and Amalfi. The breakfast bar was beautiful and delicious- espresso, fresh juice and plenty of food options. This place felt like a dream! 10/10!

Beautiful hotel with great views

The hotel was excellent and very clean and comfortable. But very hard to find and to get to. Recommend more signs for directions closer to the roads for guests to know the best location to get dropped off at and which direction to walk from there. I would not recommend for elderly family members because of how many steps you have to climb up to get to the hotel

A beautiful setting, spectacular views, very quiet and peaceful. Friendly, helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Be prepared for lots of steps, but the climb is worth it!

Guilio and his team at the villa were incredible. I unfortunately made the mistake of bringing very heavy luggage but they helped me carry it up AND back down the *220* stairs at the end of my stay, I can’t tell you how much I appreciated it! Beautiful views, amazing refreshing pool and delicious breakfast every morning! You can’t go wrong staying here!

Thank you for a beautiful stay, hotel was difficult to find but someone came out to find us and guide us in straight away, helped with bags on steps and showed us where to park locally. Pool was lovely and warm, hottub wasn’t working. View was perfect and location was great for visiting Positano

Complicated access, not recommended if you bring heavy luggage. Many stairs, (like 200) the rooms are ok, the breakfast is very good and the lady who serves it is very kind. Find parking if you take your car is very difficult

The property is nice, but it is old. The bathroom shower had mold and the sink wasn’t too clean. The sheets and towels did not smell nice but we saw the cleaning lady daily washing and cleaning.

Villa il Frantoio is a treasure in Praiano on the Amalfi Coast. The Villa has fantastic views, nice rooms, and excellent staff and service. Before we got there, we were in communication with Cristina who made sure we were getting to the Villa in an efficient manner and to exactly where we needed to be. Because it is not an easy villa to reach as it is in among the hillside residences. Check-in went very easy with Cristina, and our room did not disappoint. We had a large room with a Queen bed, little dining area, and a large bathroom. The larger bathroom with a shower and tub was nice compared to many of the smaller Italian hotels we stayed in. We also had a nice outdoor area outside our room with 2 lounge chairs. And of course the beautiful views of the Amalfi coast and ocean. That is a 10+ in itself. Each morning, we came down to the breakfast eating area. Where Giacomo and a few others customized breakfast orders of eggs, bacon, omelets', and coffee to your preference. There were also pastries, fruit, meats and cheeses also out. They did such a great job in a friendly manner and made you feel super appreciated. There is also a very nice pool on the hillside with plenty of lounge chairs. And also drinks by poolside that you can have for a very affordable price. There are only 6-7 rooms here (sorry I forgot the exact room), so it is real quiet and feels nice to be out of the business of Amalfi and Positano. Though both are close by. Definite 5 stars!

We had a great experience here from start to finish. Even before we arrived, they helped set up transfers to and from hotel. Freshly prepared breakfast each morning was delicious. The staff are also very knowledgeable about the area, which saved us a lot of trouble. Would definitely go back!
