Be aware it is a classic 2-story “motor lodge” with doors opening on to the parking lot, but if you are okay with that the rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable and well appointed, and the staff is super helpful. Would stay there again.

Everything was lovely but the wifi. Really unreliable and weak. I heard from others that service in the area was not good. My telephone could barely get a signal from the service that my home provider (videotron, excellent) uses in the US : T-Mobile. I got one bar at best. The wifi of the hotel never worked at all. (I didn’t report it or ask for help, we were just there for one night…) However the stay was very pleasant. Breakfast was quite adequate. The room was very quiet and we slept very well.

The Roosevelt is an old school, family owned motel. We were checked in by the owner and she was very helpful about the local area. The rooms were clean and the parking was easy and convenient. There is nothing fancy here- but if all you need is a clean place to sleep- this is your spot.

This is our go to hotel to stay at for easy access to Marist University. Since my daughter is a freshman, we will be using this hotel for the near future. The price is reasonable and the continental breakfast is very good. I highly recommend them.

Parking was super easy. I appreciated that their listing was very clear that I’d be on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator, no surprises. Checking in was easy and the front desk was very friendly. I appreciated their printed food recommendations not just in Hyde Park but also Poughkeepsie etc.

Great little place

We loved this simple hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. We had 24 hour access to coffee, water, ice etc in the breakfast room. The breakfast was simple- fresh bagels and donuts, cereal, bananas. Great location to the FDR library and Vanderbilt mansion.
