"If I was to build a vacation home for myself, it would be exactly this. It is comfortable, tastefully decorated, and convenient to local attractions. The parking area is uncovered but inside the locked gate, so very secure; it was a snug fit, but with practice I was able to park my compact SUV with ease. "The resort is beautiful, especially on the ocean side of the street. The pool at the other side is large with a swim-up bar and very pleasant. Front desk and site personnel were great. Concierge not so much. I could tell they just book with the companies they have an agreement with, without any concern for what we are looking for- they were on autopilot and just pointed to whatever was shown on their iPad. I wouldn't recommend doing the ATV forest tour through them. It was mostly farmland with some forest, and saw zero animals. The estuary mangrove tour was excellent, and I would recommend going as early as possible. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with seating overlooking the ocean. The rooms are as expected and clean. The view from the oceanfront rooms is gorgeous. No toilet paper allowed in toilets, just fyi. The restaurants on the "Boulevard" had extra-long waits for food. The servers were all pleasant but either short-staffed or highly disorganized. DO NOT TRY THEIR SUSHI restaurant. Worst sushi ever eaten in our lives. The hotel's gelataria was great and reasonably priced. The lines look long, but they are well-staffed and go fast. The Bar is good about having pitchers of water to refill water bottles, but otherwise, there isn't a dedicated water refill station. There is a liquor store near the hotel where you can buy bottled water, Gatorade, soda, etc. Location is NOT secluded but near shops and restaurants, which is what we wanted."

"Daniel my personal assistant made this birthday trip for my daughter and I so much special . He arranged dinner at all the restaurants and surprises us with a birthday celebration at the steakhouse. Once we came back to the room it was decorated with balloons, chocolate covered strawberries and he left a birthday note for my daughter. We stay in the Star Class Junior Ocean View Suite. The room was clean and smelling pleasant every day."

"The property is beautiful with stunning landscapes, plenty of bars and restaurants The staff didn't do a great job cleaning the room, all they did was make the bed and give fresh towels. The Asian restaurant on the property need to take reservations as every night we tried to go they wait was over an hour long or they were not taking any more people. The steakhouse is not worth visiting, food was mediocre at best and its a set menu, bread comes without butter, the Caesar salad is for a five year old and the mixed grill not good, the Argentina chorizo was hardly cooked and didn't taste like Argentine chorizo. The beach is nothing special but the views from the water are spectacular. This time of year its full of families with little kids so dont go if your a couple looking for a quiet time I feel the hotel need to control the parents with the kids better on a few occasions we went to the bar, the pool bar area is supposed to be 18 plus but way too many families were drinking while there kids played in the pool bar area. At night there were kids in the bar unsupervised by parents, one night there were two children like 5 and 7 asleep on bar stools while parents drank. We wanted a drink and to sit at bar and I motioned to bar tender about kids, he did nothing The buffet also needs to control kids as too many were picking up food with hands smelling it and throwing it back in the food area. They were also just running around the place Place is remote and gift shop is expensive"

"Everything was great. The staff is friendly and they work hard all day. I hope they get compensated good. Without the staff, it wouldn’t be possible. Definitely recommend this place for families. And to the people complaining about finding some bugs, lol its Costa Rica.."
