「No staff to be seen」

「This place was dreadful. The photos do not reflect the room. My husband sat on the bed and it collapsed onto the floor. He weighs 140 pounds so not a big bloke. On top of that there were no towels provided even though they are in the pictures. It was a hot day and we couldn't take a shower before going out. Do not stay here.」

「I didn't like anything about this place Its the worst place ever. There's no one to help you ,and the place is filthy and inhabitable for visitors. I booked with Expedia expecting something better than what we got Bathrooms are outside of bedroom and very disgusting.. Floors was very dirty like someone stepped on dog poop as you enter inside We were very tired coming from USA and didn't have the energy to find another place.. We couldn't even take a shower there. The bed was very unsanitary we...

「I was the worst place I've been to. I could not get into the room. I took over an hour to before someone made contact but I still couldn't get into the room. The bathrooms were dirty and chairs were broken and the were empty bottles in the corridors. I would not recommend anyone stay here.」

「This is the worst place I have ever stayed in. The photos do not reflect the disrepair of the place. The photos of the room showed towels and when we arrived there were no towels. We were unable to take a shower before going out to our party. Very disappointing after a very warm day. When we got into bed one side of the bed was broken and I collapsed onto the floor. 「Very Hot! No AC. Did not feel safe, there were people walking around through the hallways and smoking out side, which their smoke came into our room through the one and only tiny window which offered limited ventilation」

「The property was run down. I The room was very basic. 2 beds and a sink. The bathroom and toilets were communal. Only one of the power outlets worked. It smelled of mildew. The kitchen areas were filthy. This is a case of you get what you pay for. It worked for the night.」

Couldn't get i to my room and called, said they'd send so.eone out and call me when there. 40 minutes later called again and was helped over the phone.. no one arrived or called. Wandered around for ages trying to find the entrance, e entually found a fire es ape that was open and just walked in. The main door is actually numbered no 3.. thought this was a room.. no signs saying Brookval guest house.」

「The property is undergoing some kind of renovation. It is dirty, fire doors do not close properly. The bed sank when you touched it. No tv, no WiFi, security of the property leaves a lot to be desired. The shared bathrooms are dirty and the locks barely work. Holes in the plasterboard walls. Stains up the walls. DO NOT stay here.」

「Terrible. Not at all as advertised. Front door was unlocked and open on arrival. Room door was open on arrival and unlockable. Room window was damaged and stuck wide-open, completely unclosable. I called the contact number and had no answer and received no call back. I arrived towards midnight at the property and still chose not to stay here.」

「Do not even think about booking this accommodation. It’s not habitable. The photos are true to likeness. I have reported this host to the company. It would not pass any regulatory standards. Needs to be removed! Awaiting my refund, as walked in and walked straight back at !!」

「ALERTA FRAUDE. Edificio abandonado sin mantenimiento y sin personal, algunas habitaciones ocupadas por personas sin hogar y siguen vendiéndolas. Insalubre, cocina llena de basura, camas sucias. Mal olor y insectos. Por los alrededores del exterior había ratas enormes como ardillas. ES UNA ESTAFA.」

「It was terrifying! I booked one of my accomplished musicians to stay after our long late evening rehearsal. When we enter the room (no staff available of course ro even speak to), we found the room had bed laid already by strangers! Later, 3 drunk guys returned to my reservation room 9, sleeping on the bed and one drunk man was on the floor!」

「This was our 2nd stay when visiting Portsmouth for gigs. The hotel team are always very freindly and helpful. The breakfast is always good with good selection of fruits and juices to compliment ( if you actually have room). Free parking on a 1st come basis. All in all a great place to stay when in Pompey!」

「Room was ok. No air conditioning terribly hot. Utensils at breakfast were not very clean. Breakfast was very skimpy not what I am use to at other holiday inns.」
