We stayed (or rather, attempted to stay) from 7/25/25 to 7/28/25 . When we arrived, the trailer had visible human waste stuck behind the toilet flush plate, a strong sewage odor, and human waste leaking from the outside. I documented everything immediately upon arrival. When I contacted the host, instead of arranging a fix or offering alternate accommodations, I was told to push the waste down with a pipe and pour enzymes into the tank to “take care of the smell.” Given the waste leaking from the outside along with the dried leak stains on the trailer pad, it was clearly a pre-existing issue. The host later claimed the trailer was clean before my stay and implied I caused the problem. However, given the amount and condition of the waste, it’s obvious this was not a fresh clog from a single use.Because the rental was uninhabitable, I had to leave and book new lodging at over twice the cost. The host refused to provide a full refund. I have rented on Vrbo many times without issues, but this was the worst experience I’ve had.
