"Although the motel dates probably from the mid 1980’s, it is clean, and comfortable, with a kitchen comprising of an electric stove top, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. All were in excellent condition, and the property is well maintained. Whilst we did not use the pool, it looked clean and inviting. There are only 12 units, in a quiet street only 5 mins walk from a New World and Woolworths, with some excellent cafes close by, and a short walk to the Harbourside area and town. Highly recommend for the price and would definitely stay again"

"Located a little outside the centre, it was easy to find. Big car park, big room with everything we needed. Everything was clean & new looking. We enjoyed Whangarei, there was a regatta & a vintage car gathering (apparently every fortnight at one of the cafe carparks)."

"Beautiful relaxing location, large spacious well appointed room, Andy the host was so welcoming and helpful with both areas to visit and restaurants to eat at. Breakfast cooked by Andy was delicious and nutritious. We are,already looking forward to planning our return visit and bring friends to experience this gorgeous Lodge and the wonderful offerings,in Whangarei."
