Great hospitality and gorgeous pool
Pros: We had a wonderful stay. The hosts were very friendly, and we communicated using a translation app. The accommodation was spacious and very tastefully furnished; the kitchen was well-equipped, too. An adapter was provided upon request. The description made it sound like there was a separate second bedroom, but there was no door between the rooms. That didn't bother us, though—and there was a sofa bed in the living room as a backup option. We had exclusive use of the garden, which was also fantastic. One evening, Nadia cooked for us; the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was magical. In a restaurant, a meal like that would easily have cost twice as much. They even provided a vegetarian option. The breakfast was extensive, with always more than enough variety—fresh fruit, pastries, cold cuts, and cheese. Everything your heart could desire.
Cons: There were a few minor issues that made me consider deducting a star, but the hospitality shown by Nadia and Francesco ultimately tipped the scales in favor of a 5-star rating. We had to turn on the gas for cooking ourselves, and the hot water also had to be activated via a switch; a quick heads-up about this at check-in would have been appreciated. Unfortunately, we occasionally came across messes left by the owners' elderly dog, though the issue was addressed immediately once we pointed it out. Overall, the property had a certain old-world charm, though a place like this naturally requires a lot of upkeep. You have to expect high temperatures in mid-July, but air conditioning would have been a welcome addition.
