"The cottage is fine and it is in a nice location BUT the details of the cottage listed on the Expedia website and Sykes Cottages are different and misleading. Expedia shows the cottage to be within the Penzance city centre & 8 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The cottage is 8 miles (13 kms.) from the Penzance city centre. "The property is lovely, and very convenient as it's close to the harbour and has a parking space. But we had several mix ups over the booking, as the owner and Vrbo seem to have different rules about availability (the owner claims to do only Saturday to Saturday), and we had to change our original booking. The garden that appears in the photos does not seem to be accessible (wooden door with a combination). And we were offered bread, eggs, and butter which we accepted but did not get. (We did get milk and a Prosecco!) Shower gel would have been helpful as we had to go to buy some."

"My room was impeccably clean. The bed was comfortable and there were a couple of places to sit and watch the sea and world go by. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and went out of their way to help. Breakfast was good and the coffee strong. It's a perfect location for exploring Penzance, going for a swim in the Jubilee pool and taking any of the boat trips on offer either to Scilly or wildlife tours. Yes, the carpet / decor could do with updating but that didn't matter to me. The staff and the view out the front window makes this place a true gem."

"It was so nice to stay in a pedestrian-only part of Newlyn in a compact but well-appointed property. Although the property backs onto a main road, there is very little audible noise. Very handy for the centre of Newlyn and its growing food and drink offerings."

"Diese kleine Ferienwohnung liegt in erster Reihe am Meer mit dem Blick auf die St Clement's Isle. Mit dem Meeresrauschen einschlafen und aufwachen einfach fantastisch. Die Wohnung selber ist liebevoll und doch zweckmäßig eingerichtet, einfach zum Wohlfühlen. Den Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür zu haben ist für Mousehole natürlich Luxus. Esme‘ ist eine sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin die bei Bedarf immer ansprechbar ist. Vielen Dank für die leckeren Aufmerksamkeiten bei der Anreise, somit konnte die erste Teatime somit gestartet werden."

"The house was clean and tidy and check in was easy.There was plenty of space for our party of 5 adults and 1 toddler. High chair, travel cot and stair gate are provided. There were 2 fridges with a small freezer compartment in each. There was a seagull nesting above the dormer kitchen window with 2 fluffy chicks which was interesting for our granddaughter to see! The view from the balcony was wonderful, right across the bay to St Michael's Mount. Excellent takeaway from Lewis's fish and chip shop in Newlyn! The king size beds were very comfortable and the bath in the main bathroom was a spa bath, which we used whilst there, which was relaxing. All in all we enjoyed our stay here. Thank you"
