Located at the very tip of the Mornington Peninsula, Point Nepean Nation Park has a rich history that includes a quarantine station and old artillery fortifications that can be explored on foot by bike or shuttle bus. It also provide panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay, Bass Strait and the Rip at Port Phillip Heads. This shot is the view of a ship passing through the Rip between the heads of Port Phillip Bay. There is only 1 kilometre of navigable water as coral reefs consume the remaining 2.5 kilometres between the heads.
