"Great place to enjoy the ocean in Costa Rica away from the tourist centers! Warm Pacific Ocean was literally 50 feet from the Cabina. The Cabina is a basic cabin with no frills as shown in the pictures, but very comfortable. The ocean waves can lull you to sleep or keep you up at night so bring earplugs. "We weren't prepared for how remote this property is and the extended rainy season made it even more so with very poor road conditions. Be sure to stock up on EVERYTHING you'll need before going up there as a trip to any store or restaurant will be lengthy. We had to leave after staying only one of our two nights as we just didn't have enough food. There is a restaurant on the property which would have been a complete game changer but it wasn't open during our visit in mid-November. The times...

"Hotel is right where you want to be to enjoy Tamarindo! Great food options within a minute walk including a food court where you can find all types of menus for all budgets right across the street! A short walk from the beach and shops including a grocery store right around the corner. I don’t know why anyone would stay anywhere else!! "

"Breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly but we found service to be slow (everywhere not just Diria). The pools were very nice and beach is great. The resort is in a great location. The rooms were unimpressive and the whole place is showing it's age a little but we would recommend this place. Very safe and easy to book excursions etc. "

"We had the most amazing stay at the W. The staff was absolutely wonderful. I will say that the room was a little “lived in”. The leather was very worn on the sofa and there were stains on the throws. However, the property is beautiful, the staff was more than helpful, kind and accommodating and the food was fantastic. We would absolutely visit again! "

WET hotel - Adults Only

"I highly recommend this boutique hotel. It’s in a great location, an easy walk to the beach and main strip but still away from the noise and crowds, though it was still on a main road where you can still hear the loud trucks, motorcycles and ATVs passing by. The rooms were compact but very well designed, modern, comfortable and clean. The pool was a nice place to spend an afternoon, and I especially like the shallow wading area where you can lie down in the water to cool off. Check-in and check-out could be a bit of a pain as the reception/check-in area is not always open or attended (but has a WhatsApp number to call or text), however the check-in/check-out process was quick and easy. Katie & Greg were extremely nice and helpful hosts/managers, along with their excellent staff. Though some of the staff do not speak English, they were very eager to help and ensure a pleasurable stay. There is no restaurant in the hotel, which is fine as there are tons of great places to eat nearby (and a supermarket a few doors away), but they do offer coffee and hot and cold water at the bar near the pool. I really enjoyed my stay here and will definitely return here the next time I’m back in Tamaindo. Thank you Greg & Katie, and pura vida!"

"We had a great time at the Westin Reserva Conchal. The property is large and beautiful with lots of wildlife (e.g. Howler Monkeys, iguanas, birds). The pool area is clean with lots of chairs. Restaurants are excellent, particularly the Bamboo, with lots of variety. Staff were also excellent, particularly Willie at the Mitra who went out of his way to ensure we had a memorable visit."
