The property is spacious and has lots of nice extras such as a pool table. It is very convenient to the restaurants and bars on South Side. Parking is kind of a hassle but we dealt with it. A few of the basic things in the house did not work properly such as upstairs fawcets.
Enjoyed the historic home in the middle of a very busy neighborhood. There were geeat placea to eat cl8se by andbwirhin shoet walking distances. Ballpark was onky a few minutw Uber ride away. Good place for what we were looking for.
We would definitely stay here again. The apartment is definitely a ‘hidden gem’ as listed. It is beautiful. The kids loved the billiard room. They also enjoyed playing foosball. It is spacious and clean.
Absolutely perfect! Such a cool historic building right in the middle of Pittsburgh. 2 adults and 6 teenagers..... Exactly what was described and made our family trip home happen.! Highly recommend!
Great Property in a Great Location. We were a little skeptical as we pulled up to the door, but once inside the property was spacious with high ceilings and tons of light. 2 large bedrooms with king sized beds, and a third bedroom with a nice set of two bunk beds, plenty or room for everyone. Kitchen was nice with plenty of new appliances, and everything you'd need to cook a meal. Bathrooms were clean and large with all the amenities you need and plenty of towels. Location is excellent with a lot of choices to eat withing walking distance. As this is an older home outlets are not always conveniently located, my one suggestion is to get some lights or extension cords with usb plugs, to put on bedside night stands. Host was awesome and easy to communicate with and responded quickly with any questions. Overall great place, and experience.
Unique place! Comfy beds and pillows, loved the pool table and darts. As others have mentioned - was a bit warm with only window units and lots of street noise in one bedroom. Loved the close access to Station Square and tons of food options as well as easy commute to our destination (Children's Hospital). Entrance is in an alley way so I just would’ve felt better with ability to deadbolt the door but other than that, no issues with this neat place. Two full staircases within home weren’t an issue for us but may be for some. Little park/playground with water feature just steps from the front door would be nice for smaller children.
The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. Well equipped kitchen and baths.
The third floor bath could use a better shower situation. The water goes on the floor and the tub is difficult to get in and out of.
The outlets in both bathrooms were not working.
We would suggest a deadbolt on the front door.
If you are a parent and have kids attending college in Pittsburgh, and they have houses/apartments on the southside, this is an awesome place to stay at during graduation, football games, family get-togethers, etc. I really liked the house, it it in the heart of the bar scene, lots of action and excitement. House was great. Needs more kitchen cookware. A few outlets in the house didn't work but for a remodeled house in the southside it was awesome!
The property is clean and very nice. Unfortunately there is not a reserved parking spot for even 1 vehicle. Parked a few doors down “where there was no signage not allowing parking”. Didn’t block any doorways or access points. For safety and communication, I placed my cell number in the window just in case it had to be moved. Guy that called me was very rude and threatened to have the vehicle towed. The rest of the stay was nice…really need to have one reserved spot at the property though.
Our group had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is great and around so many options for dining, nightlife, and overall fun in the Southside Flats. Any hiccups were promptly taken care of. There was available parking in a pay lot just across the street, the one spot registered by the host, and even a couple of free spots outside towards the end of the block (they aren’t all free, so be careful)! The entertainment options were great; we played so many rounds of pool! The one gripe would be the summer heat, but if you use the window A/C units in place, and maybe bring a fan or two, you’re going to be just fine.If you have 6 people looking to have a fun weekend centered around Pittsburgh’s Southside Flats, this is definitely a property worth your while!

I liked that the place was really nice and that the host always got right back to you. I didn't like the parking situation.
Everything was awesome, 5-star review. Henry was accommodating and responsive - got our stay off to a great start by helping with a special request. Building is old and shows its age, but it still exceeded our expectations. We had 3 people, but it could easily hold several more - plenty of space. Thanks Henry and Ashley!
The location was great, super walkable area to various restaurants. The apartment is WAY bigger than the pictures show, and has so much old charm! We unfortunately did not get to spend much time in it, but it definitely would have been super comfortable for a longer stay. The negatives: We stayed in the middle of July... when it is very hot, the whole place only has 4 small window AC units, so it is roasty toasty. One of the bedrooms has NO windows, so that one in particular was very warm.Additionally, there are 2 very tall stairwells, the one that you go up immediately when you open the door had a lot of spiders on it, and clearly does not get cleaned super well. Other than that, the place was clean and comfortable! I would definitely stay here again, but preferably when the temperatures are a little cooler.
Group of seven handsome men, new to Pittsburgh, stayed here for two nights in October 2022. The rental met expectations, in a good way. The only items to flag are (i) as other reviewers have pointed out, one of the bedrooms and the living room face Carson Street and it is busy there on weekend nights, with considerable noise (mostly people walking/talking, but also cars, sometimes racing (??), and (ii) the parking situation in the neighborhood is confusing.
Fortunately, for the latter, Henry jumped in and helped address that. And Henry is a big part of the success of the rental. He was very responsive both through and after our stay.
Other than the noise, our group enjoyed the neighborhood. We felt safe and there are some great restaurants, bars, and sandwich shops within close walking distance. The pictures of the rental are representative and this is a good spot to operate as a home base of sorts for a group trip.
We were searching for a place in the city to stay that was within walking distance to restaurants, bars, etc.. We didn’t know anything about the city, but this flat is in the heart of the south flats and fit the bill. The flat is a really neat space. Fully renovated, nice updated appliances, and the beds were super comfortable! It was great having a billiards table, foosball, and dart board-kept us and our adult kids entertained for sure. Henry was responsive and accommodating. This is a great place if you want to enjoy some of the downtown Pittsburgh nightlife, or even have a family get together for the holidays. We will be back!
Henry was a great host, and his place was perfect for a guys weekend. Pool table and televisions everywhere, plus football and of south side just outside your door.
This space is enormous and has a lot of character, perfect for a group of friends or a larger family – we were a group of 6 friends/family for a football game. The rooms were extremely spacious and clean with a TV in every room. There was also a game room with a pool table and darts next to the living room which also included a foosball table. The space is located on a busy street and if you have the one street facing bedroom, it can be loud at night with the bars and restaurants located just outside, but the night owls that we are, we were able to sleep through it. The other bedrooms do not hear any of the street noise. A couple things were inconvenient such as the upstairs bathroom door not closing and the water being cold in the shower downstairs but those are easy fixes. The location was ideal with the animation just outside and the downtown area not too far away by car. The host was very responsive and made themselves available if we had any questions. In all, we would definitely recommend staying at this location and would consider it again next time we are in the area.
