Jeff was a great host with whom our group of 3 hikers had a chance to chat as we were loading up our packs for our 3-night backpack. Very clean, comfortable accommodations that offered a wonderful night’s rest before our backcountry adventure.
Wonderful communication from host. Jeff puts a great deal of pride into keeping the Bunkhouse in amazing shape. It was perfectly prepared and check-in / check-out was easy and as exactly as described. Would definitely stay there again!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Bunkhouse in Strawberry! The cabin was spotless and decorated so cute. It had such a warm and inviting feel. We enjoyed time on the porch watching the hummingbirds come and go. The host was incredibly responsive and flexible which made the whole experience, smooth and stress-free. If you’re looking for a clean, cozy and peaceful getaway in the pines, the Bunkhouse is the perfect spot! We can’t wait to go back.
Watched elk eating/walking about! Up close too!
Great clean cozy place!

The Bunkhouse is beautiful & in a great location close to hiking trails. Jeff, the host made it easy and was a good communicator. We will definitely be back.
Cute little bunkhouse! Felt very cozy and remote but still was quick into town. Loved eating outside! Everything went great. Only very minor thing - bring your own spices if you want to cook, only salt and pepper and oil provided. Would definitely stay again.
The bunkhouse is beautifully decorated, very clean and fully equipped to meet almost any need. The resident dog is a delightful welcoming committee who our dog enjoyed very much. Most importantly to us ~ it was very peaceful. Jeff is a great host! We will return to the bunkhouse.
We absolutely adored our time at the bunkhouse. The online pictures do not do justice to just how neat, nice and comfortable the space is. Just two miles off of the main downtown Strawberry strip, it's perfectly nestled back in a quiet neighborhood with your own private space. The burner and larger toaster oven in the kitchen work great, and it's equipped with lots of pots and pans for cooking. Jeff is a great host and was super communicative and the check in/out process was a breeze. This was a truly peaceful and relaxing time and we hope to be back very soon!
The property is true to the description and photos. Clean, cozy, stocked, charming and even had little touches of fall decorating. The front porch area is great to just relax. Plus, it has a grill and picnic table for an added bonus. My husband and I were only going to stay in Strawberry one night (we stayed somewhere else the first night) and then decided on a whim for a 2nd night so I found and booked the Bunkhouse. Now I wish we knew about this place before we already committed to the other place! Jeff (host) was super nice! He communicates with you immediately via Vrbo and later on text. He is very friendly and has a super friendly pooch who may come to greet you at some point. We loved her. What I like best about Jeff is he goes above and beyond for the traveler. Check in is noon, which is AMAZING to begin with! I cannot stand that hotels and other places have stretched this out over the years to be later and later and later. When my husband and I were killing a little time in Pine, I received a text from Jeff at 11:14 am informing me the Bunkhouse was ready and we could check in early if we liked. This to me was another big AMAZING. Especially when the other place we stated at forced a 4pm check in and not even giving you the code till almost 4pm. Don’t get me started. Traveler’s are weary after long drives and desire a place to take a load off, and maybe get a shower or nap before dinner. Please don’t think or expect the Bunkhouse host to give everyo

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Everything was cozy, clean, and exactly what we were hoping for in a relaxing getaway. The location was perfect—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. One of the highlights of our trip was spending time with Morgan, the sweetest dog ever. She instantly made us feel welcome and added such a warm, homey touch to our stay. We left feeling refreshed and can’t wait to come back again!
Super clean and spacious. Wonderful hosts that made sure the stay was lovely. Would definitely recommend and cant wait to stay again. Quiet neighborhood with elk galore! Very fun experience
I was surprised to see that this had a 10 rating, but now I know why! My husband, our 3 older teens, and I had a great stay at the Bunkhouse - Safe, amazing location, clean and nicely decorated, outdoor and indoors well equipped, wonderful host and environment, better than pics show…
