Great stay

The directions as far as the parking and check in/ check you have something to be desired. But the the place itself was wonderful, and more than made up for that. The customer service was also great!

The room was wonderful and the building was renovated and incredibly clean. There were several cars broken into on the street next to the property, and the tow man said it was the 5th time it had happened in a month. It seems to be an area they are trying to revitalize, and some cute shops and cafes are around, but overall you can tell it is not the safest.

LOVE Sonders

Sonder is such a cool concept. Basically renting an apartment but with a private hotel feel. I absolutely LOVE the concept and will continue booking with Sonders in the future for other trips. Super easy booking process, easy check-in. Excellent customer service. The Edison was great! Definitely staying at some of the other Sonders in Philly.

It should be noted that there is no parking included. So there is also confusing instruction i should look for parking instruction on the parking section on the web. also i need to register and download the app to register... all for 1 night of stay, this is extremely hectic for us.

Excellent place to stay with everything one needs for a long or a short stay. Super fast WiFi and a new smart TV were most welcome. The place was very clean and was most comfortable. We found some great eating spots just a five minutes walk (try Race St Cafe or Khyber Pass) and parking was just two blocks away and we felt at $30:00 a day a fair value.

What I liked: ease of checking in and size of room. What I didn’t like: everything else! Property does not have parking and it is very difficult to find parking. We ended up getting a ticket with street parking. It’s very noisy! Pillows are uncomfortable and the sofa bed is like sleeping with on the floor. To top it off, we left behind a make up bag (yes I understand that was our fault) and when we noticed it, I contacted the hotel to get it back and housekeeping said it wasn’t there. We know 100% it was left behind. Who would want used makeup, yuck! All in all, probably would never stay there again!

The room came with ear plugs, seriously! There were two pairs near each bed, and bed time it became abundantly clear why that was the case. I wish the property description mentioned that we were being placed right next to a busy street with overnight traffic/noise. Also checking in and parking are a bit more work than a typical hotel, and no lobby/desk to help out in case of needed help. Overnight parking is at least $25, and one has to go figure it out. Rooms are smaller (and taller to compensate) than it appeared in the picture.

El hospedaje tiene todas las amenidades que puedes necesitar en tu viaje, desde preparar tus alimentos o hasta lavar la ropa, me gustó que igual puedes darle seguimiento desde la app de Sonder, que es muy útil, el soporte en linea para mi casa fue bueno. El único detalle, es que este sonder en particular no tenía el servicio de limpieza, ya que cuando en la app lo solicitaba, me aparecía el mensaje que "por el momento la opción de solicitar una limpieza no está disponible en ese sonder" En fin, en cuanto a la ubicación del hospedaje, nos pareció que es un barrio tranquilo en el día y en la noche sí quedan un poco solitarias las calles, pero afortunadamente no vivimos ninguna experiencia desagradable, recomiendo no confiarse y estar alerta. El edificio está cerca de la mayoría de las atracciones historicas de la ciudad, inclusive puedes llegar a ellas caminando y encontrarte con spots interesantes en el camino. Cabe resaltar que sí está un poco alejado del fashion district, el love park, los rocky steps, el museo y el zoo, pero también tiene acceso facil a rutas de autobus que te pueden llevar hacia esas locaciones. En general, por el precio del hospedaje y lo que ofrece, nos gustó, tiene las amenidades y comodidades que puedes tener en tu casa. Pero, probablemente la proxima vez que visitemos Philly, optaríamos por una opción de Sonder no tan retirada del centro de la ciudad
