Our family of seven loved this stay. Plenty of room for all of us and the kids had a blast. Less than ten minutes to the historical areas of Philly. Strongly recommend. The neighborhood might make some who are not used to cities uncomfortable, but we had no issues.

Great fun for three generations. Our teenage grandkids learned how to play pool. They were never bored in the four days we were in the apartment. Our daughter had fond memories of her youth when shevplayed the Atari game. Clean, Quiet, and Safe place to unwind and relax.

We rented the place for a little reunion. It was perfect. Plenty of space for everyone to sleep comfortably. We enjoyed catching up and playing games. The grill was a huge hit.

It worked for us.

The property was functional for our needs. The owner communicated with us completely. The location was up and coming and the property was located next to a delightful Turkish Brew place that has the best pastries and light food. The property could sleep plenty of people and everyone in the area was super friendly. The game room kept us entertained with mostly pool and poker games. There a plenty of dishes, pots, and pans. There were staple seasonings and olive oil left for the guests. There were a few drawbacks to the place. In one bathroom, you can't put toilet paper in the toilet. The place needs some cleaning up but I know the cleaning crew had not shown up...no fault of the owner. There are a lot of rules (not a problem for our family, but may be for others) and the pictures on the site are nicer than the actual apartment. I think the pictures don't show the wear and tear that occurs over time. Overall, we were satisfied.

Great Spot for Trip to Philly

Not sure why one of the previous reviews says there's cameras. I can assure you there was none, so disregard that person's salty and immature review. This place is solid for a guys trip or a family trip. We didn't spend a ton of time in the unit, but when we did, we enjoyed having stuff to do. The vending machine was a little odd, but whatever. One thing to point out: bring ice. There is no ice maker, which we wish we knew. But not a big deal.

Great Property But Fees Were a Bit High

This property is excellent for a fun-loving group with plenty of entertainment options and 4 rooms with a total of 10 beds (1 king, 5 doubles and 4 twins) to accommodate a large gathering of friends and family. The rental price was very reasonable, but I found the fees, taxes and property damage insurance to be a bit high (adding another 160% above the rental fee). The request for a substantial hold on my credit card to cover potential damages was especially concerning, so I added the property damage protection coverage just to be sure we weren't responsible for any damage that we didn't cause. However, that was all very clear before I booked the unit so it did not come as a surprise. Just be sure to consider the full price before booking. The 7 of us very much enjoyed our stay and will likely book again when we return to Philly.

Long weekend

I was looking for a place to stay for the 6 of us (4 adults, 2 kids) We were in town to see the circus The game room is what sold me on the place , and the fact there was 4 bedrooms. Walking in was like looking at a party place. Lounge area and kitchen with bar type tables. And downstairs the arcade and second tv viewing area. Super fun for kids! The games were on the slightly used side, but all worked well enough for everyone to enjoy. We were sad we ran out of time to try the popcorn machine. We had a small issue with the toaster not working and our host was very prompt with his replies and offered to replace it the next day One caveat would be that the place isn’t super soundproof and you could hear the upstairs neighbors walking around. This didn’t bother us, but if you’re a light sleeper I’d suggest taking one of the downstairs bedrooms I appreciated that there were several fans and room heaters to adjust temperatures to your liking. We didn’t need them either but it was nice they were there The beds were very comfortable. Coffee shop a half block away, neighborhood grocery one block away and beer/wine a short walk away

Not what we expected

We enjoyed our weekend, however, the apartment was not what we were expecting. The listing said that there were spices and all the cookware we would need, but there was only salt and pepper, and only one small baking sheet and some pots, one pan, and a griddle pan. There were no cleaning supplies available, so we couldn't clean our messes, or run the dishwasher. Several of the arcade games either didn't work, or they didn't work completely (some of the buttons stuck due to something being spilled on them). Everything in the gaming space was very cramped together, with not enough room for some of the activities to be done at the same time. There is only eating space for 7 people, even though there are beds for 15+. I was told that there was parking available, but we had to park along the street around the corner. Communication with the host was good. There were rules and expectations posted all over the house, however, these did not match some of the rules that had been previously communicated with me (10 pm - 6am quiet time, but the house posting was 10-8, and the upstairs neighbors were quite loud on the floor well past 10 pm). I will not be staying at another Mr. Whips again.

Wonderful place to stay in the city!! Very clean place. Plenty of spices, dishes, k-cups were stocked in the kitchen. All the games worked perfectly and were soo much fun! Lots of yummy snacks in the vending machines as well. The only parking available is street parking so just make sure to plan for that accordingly. Wonderful place and I would definitely recommend to anyone!
