Family-friendly vacation home in Pevensey
Summary:
Great Wi Fi. Work from home in this beach fronted large detached family house commanding spectacular sea views from the rear and superb far reaching rural views from the front. A truly luxurious getaway by the sea. Price is based on two people sharing a room.

The Space:
On entering the property there is a ground floor entrance hall, separate utility room housing a washing machine and clothes airer, a double bedroom with a king-sized bed and large wardrobe, with views to the countryside. Adjacent to this bedroom there is a ground floor shower room with a walk-in shower cubicle, pedestal wash hand basin and lower level wc.
The rest of the accommodation is situated on the first floor including a 19’1 x 10’8 lounge looking out to sea, an impressive 23’8 x 8’3 second reception room with a dining table and chairs to seat 8 guests, also enjoying sea views. The property boasts a good sized and well fitted modern grey kitchen housing a full range of utensils, plates, pots and pans along with a toaster, microwave, kettle, American fridge freezer and microwave. The open plan kitchen and dining area leads into the spacious lounge which has a 70 inch flat screen tv, a large leather corner sofa and additional lounge chair and a bar area with two raised bar stools, with French doors opening onto a superb two-tiered sundeck with spectacular sea views and leading down directly on to a private beach. The sun deck has a modern rattan table and chairs along with four sun loungers.
There are three additional bedrooms on this level, one has a king-sized bed, one has a double bed and the other has two single beds, a travel cot and all with plentiful storage facilities for clothes.
There is an additional family shower room with a shower area, pedestal wash hand basin and a low level wc adjacent to one of the bedrooms.
At the front of the property there is off-road parking for several cars, along with a mature garden with shrubs and plants and a raised sun patio enjoying a rural outlook.
Pevensey Bay has a dog friendly shingle beach, it is a seaside resort in miniature, a good place to take a holiday and really unwind. We allow one small dog to stay in the property but please note the stair gate must be put across and the bedroom doors need to remain closed to prevent the dog from going on the beds.
When booking with us your stay will be protected by a deposit guarantee and public liability provided by our risk management partner, SUPERHOG. We allow one small dog to stay in the property but please note the stair gate must be put across and the bedroom doors need to remain closed to prevent the dog from going on the beds. For guests who may struggle with the internal 12 stairs there is a flat way into the property just a few houses down and along the beach which brings you into the back entrance. The majority of the house is then on one level. Please ask if you require any clarification on access or layout.

The Neighborhood:
To the west of 1066 country stands Pevensey Bay on the coast. Pevensey Bay is famou Pevensey Bay is an old fishing village founded in the 1600's as Wallsend, the end of the sea wall from Eastbourne. Pevensey village is located on a ridge of land, which juts out onto marshland and until the 13th Century the marshes were an inlet of the sea. Over time the large bay was gradually cut off from the sea by shingle and today the marshes known as Pevensey Levels, a large nature reserve, stretches for miles behind the shingle beach. A number of Martello towers were erected along the bay at the beginning of the 19th century against Napoleonic attack. In the early 1900's the village became a holiday resort it is today with much of the coastline development started in the 1930's. Today it is a popular tourist attraction with the nearby historical Pevensey Castle. Pevensey Bay is well known today to all sailing enthusiasts. The local sailing club offers a variety of classes of boats and has a full programme of racing. The inspiring 31 mile 1066 Country Walk starts at Pevensey Castle, winds its way to Herstmonceux, through Battle and across the countryside to Rye. For direct bookings with beachside holiday rentals, this amount will be held on your payment card on the day that you check out and returned to your card after a full inspection has been completed and within 14 days of departure. Great location
property was right on the beach. Granddaughters spent most days in the sea - when the tide is out the water is shallow for some way so they could happily play safely without us needing to be in the water as well. Only slight suggestion on the property perhaps an outside tap to clean off before entering the house and a little more seating in the living room but otherwise everything else was great.

the property was just perfect for two families, great facilities, stunning views. Excellent location on the beach front, great place for star gazing and the moon. We didn't want our holiday to end
