This was a great place to stay. We missed our fridge and safe. But the rest made up for it. Even met the owners. This Quinta has been in the family since 1926. Wonderful place!

We enjoyed a lovely stay! The quinta and grounds were beautiful and exactly as described/pictured. We relaxed by the pool, enjoyed the views, had a lovely evening meal with their wine, and a great breakfast the next morning. Fransisco was a very gracious host and made sure we had everything we needed, including local recommendations! Thank you for a great time! Obrigada!

The Good: Wonderful homely place all the staff are lovely. What an amazing location high above the Duoro River below. Great wine ( goes without saying !!) Although a little isolated the availability of the evening snack menu was great and a fitting and substantial addition to the wine. Pinhao is about 25 minute drive away, but there are many restaurants there. The Bad: Parking is available but yes it’s very narrow and sometimes a bit of a log jam. A fridge and water in the room would also be nice. Overall such a wonderful relaxing stay, amazing site and people

We really enjoyed our stay. Francisco was the best -very friendly, great service, and fantastic recommendations for dinner, boat tour, and other quintas to visit. It was nice to meet the owners as well and talk with them about the harvest season. Will definitely recommend and will come back the next time we’re in the Douro.

This is a gorgeous Quinta with exceptional accomodation and staff. The pool was fantastic on a very hot afternoon and evening. The small food menu was perfect to pair with the wine and port produced at Dona Matilde made more special served outside the rooms on tables over looking the Douro river as the sun set.

This hotel was beautiful, clean, and very quaint. The property was gorgeous overlooking Duoro valley with an amazing infinity pool. However, there were no food options or winery tours available when we were there? Not sure if this is normally how it is, but we always had to drive somewhere else to do anything. If you’re looking for a hotel that you can remain on the property then I don’t recommend this one, but if you’re looking for a quiet hotel and are okay with driving for tours/food then this is great - we did not mind. The breakfast was included and delicious every morning. There weren’t a lot of people staying there so it felt like private. The staff was SO kind and helpful, we even hung out with them one day and just chatted. Would stay again given how gorgeous it was.

Einfach wunderbar!
