Just a 20-minute drive from Nelson, this cozy cottage accommodates up to 4 guests, making it ideal for friends or families who want to experience island life with all the comforts of a nearby city . Simply drive on our coastal road to enter and exit the island! No need to take a boat or ferry to get on Pepin Island.

You'll have the entire cottage to yourself : 2 stunning bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, kitchen, dining table, living room, indoor fireplace, outdoor deck,and BBQ. This stay is nestled on a small hill near the creek.

Your Bedrooms :

1st bedroom has a queen bed facing the ocean view. Its sliding door gives you direct access to the front porch and the outdoor bathtub! 2nd bedroom shines with its unique wood and wall statements and comfortable queen mattress!

Your Bathroom :

This luxurious bathroom offers a full bathtub to soak in along with a walk in shower and toilet. The wood statements and skylight give it an extra special feel.

Your Kitchen :

Includes a bar fridge with a little freezer, ceramic hob with two flames, sink, dishwasher, toaster, water kettle, coffee maker, wine glasses, cutlery and cooking essentials. There is a nearby dining table & chairs for serving meals.

Your Living Room :

Includes a sofa, coffee table, bean bag, fireplace and extra wood. Its distinctive brick wall makes this room stand out from the rest.

Outdoor Deck :

The front deck is a beautiful spot to relax, grill on the BBQ and take in the stunning views. Enjoy the outdoor bathtub and take in the stunning views.

Unique Details :

The wood statements throughout the cottage are the same type of wood that was traditionally used for making tools and weapons by Māori, our indigenous culture here in New Zealand. You'll notice them on the kitchen handles, bathroom ladder & lighting features. Wharangi Cottage is named after a native New Zealand leaf that translates to, “one side of one leave”. Our indigenous Māori culture use its healing properties for medicinal purposes such as for skin-treatments & wound healing.
