「Valentines evening with overnight stay. Check in easy, mostly done online prior to arrival. Room was good size and very clean, hotel situated along side of busy A55, but road noise in room was minimal. Had small lunch and then dinner in the evening, the service from Heather was excellent, full of smiles and attentive, even though it was busy with the amount of staff they had on serving. 「Room smelled pungently of mildew. When I told the staff they said they’d have to do a better job of cleaning. We left several days ago and everything in my suitcase, including all my clothes, still have that mildew smell. Quiet setting. Large rooms but had no way to air out except for a tiny window 18x8 that partially opened. Luckily it was cool weather. Pub was cute and food including breakfast was good.」

「The hotel is fairly basic, the rooms look a bit dated, there was a crack in my bath surround and some staining on the ceiling, but I believe the rooms are due for refurbishment shortly, so this is likely to improve. The parking is just over the road, and is free for as long as you're staying (you can come and go without registering again apparently). The hotel as a whole was clean and tidy. The food was good but a bit pricey in my opinion, but it is a touristy area, so base your expectations on...
