We stayed at the property for 3 days and loved it. Mike and Carrie who own this property are a fabulous host and they made sure our stay is fully comfortable. My boys loved it when they chocolates on the day we were climbing the Snowdon mountain. The property is situated at a very good location not far from Betws-y-coed and the great part is Mike and Carrie have so well maintained the original character of this manor. We 100% recommend staying at this place.

My family of four loved our stay! These guys made us feel so at home. From the Welcome treats to the home cooked delicious breakfast (made earlier for us so we could make our climb), we were totally pampered. Would definitely recommend and certainly stay again.
Very nice place to stay!
100% recommendable to traveleres with family, especially with a dog!
Mike and Carrie are quite experts providing useful tips about where to go and what to do in Snowdonia.
Cold breakfast itself is very nice, but strongly recommend to have hot meals served by Mike. Nobody can help loving Penaeldroch!
Really enjoyed our stay for three days. Lovely comfortable suite, great location for day trips around Snowdonia and a superb welcome from the owners - felt like a home from home. They created a lovely relaxed vibe with extra treats thrown in! Highly recommend and will be back.
We all enjoyed our stay here, Mark and Carrie are perfect hosts, nothing is too much bother, it's an old house but inside they have refurbished the accommodation to a very high standard. Can whole heartedly highly reccommend a stay here. Thankyou both for a memorable stay, hope to visit again with either bikes or kayaks on the car to see how work has progressed.
We returned here having stayed a couple of years ago. The location is stunning in the wilderness but very convenient for Betws y Coed. The suites are very comfortable, spacious and clean. Mike and Carrie are very kind, generous hosts who like to make you feel at home.
When we arrive we wasn’t sure about the place as it looked a bit run down from outside and a bit spooky but inside it was absolutely beautiful. Renovated and cleaned. Pets welcome is a bonus. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
Absolutely brilliant weekend - would have loved to have stayed longer but was only there 1 night for my sons birthday to visit Zip world. Perfect location, beautiful surroundings, fantastic hosts. Can't fault it. Will definitely be returning

Absolutely 100% amazing would definitely recommend
Absolutely amazing views 360⁰ the couple that own it were absolutely fantastic they go above and beyond to make sure everything is ready and waiting for you
We had a wonderful experience whilst staying at the Penaeldroch Manor. Mike and Carie were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was clean and spacious and had wonderful views of the river Lledr.
The locally sourced morning breakfast was fantastic and set up for the rest of the day. Thankyou once again for your wonderful hospitality.
Unique B B with great owners who don’t rush things and get it right. Suite is perfect for families and breakfast is cooked fresh if required. Couldn’t be happier especially when compared to larger/established hotels and B B in the area. Kids loved it. Will be back next year. Thanks.
We only stayed for one night as a family of 6. Mick was there to welcome us as we arrived. Our suite was lovely clean and looked cosy. The rooms had lovely views across the river. There is a lot of noise from the river which is slightly lessoned by shutting the windows, but i found it soothing and its easy to tune out. There was complimentary fruit and sweets wating for us, which thrilled the kids. There were clear instructions on how to use everything. There is intersting pictures and art around the building and there is a folder showing all the removations done on the property. Breakfast was satisfying and more than enough with Mick and Carrie on hand to make things as smooth as possible. They were also very helpful with advice about food places and ppaces to visit. Overall it was an excellent stay. I only wished we stayed longer. The only suggestion i have for mick and carrie would be to make the double bed have the attached ensuite rather than the twin beds. There is also a resident dog and cat
11 out of 10! There were four of us--two teens, myself (the mom) and my dad. I had a bit of a time finding reasonable accommodation that would fit us all, but the top floor suite was perfect! With two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a pullout sofa bed, everyone had their own bed (very comfortable beds too!) and space. My teens loved the welcome snacks (they were delicious and gone in a flash), plus we were welcomed kindly when we checked in and asked what we would like to drink. Perfect after a long day outside. There is a full kitchen and they have an excellent selection of teas, a nice espresso set up, and many other drink options. We asked about local walking trails and received excellent recommendations. You can walk right out the door and off you go. You can even take an old Roman road to Betws-y-coed. We took a long meander in the morning and then my son opted for the full breakfast, which he said was delicious. We will definitely stay again when we return to Wales. Thank you!!

Great hotel with lovely hosts
As ever, excellent stay here with the amazing hosts. We have come back here three times since we first discovered the hotel and have loved it each time.
People can make a place, the hotel owners make this place what it is.
They made us feel extremely welcomed, and the story of the hotel became part of our adventure.
Thank you for the stay.
Incredible old hunting lodge under renovation. Mike was an amazing host, and can’t wait to see the whole renovation completed. We really enjoyed our time there.
Perfect hosts in an amazing building!
You would struggle to find more genuine, hospitable and friendly people than Carrie and Mike.
Outside there is plenty of parking and beautiful grounds.
Step inside, the rooms are generous, clean and with everything you could need.
The breakfasts are lovely and nothing is too much.
We will definitely be back, thank you!
We have stayed here in the past and loved it and this time was the same. It was lovely to see Carrie Mike and Lola the dog. Their passion for the hotel is amazing and their ideas for the future make us excited to return and see all the progress. For us it’s in a prefect location as it’s a little out of the villages but close enough to get to things by car. There are lovely walks around if you want something more peaceful but again close enough to places like zip world. Thank you for a lovely stay
Absolute beautiful and wonderful place to stay. A very pleasant surprise for our trip to northern Wales! The house is an older lodge that has been converted after years of neglect to a terrific bed and breakfast. The owners are lovely and hospitable, making the stay even better.
