"Staff were excellent and responded quickly using Whatsapp. Facilities were really good, gym, 2 pools, pool room and reading room. Room was clean and had lots of extras like a washing machine, iron, slippers, fridge & freezer, kitchen utensils and more. My complaints would be that maintenance and upkeep of equipment in all of Malaysia is poor. For example none of the running machines in the gym were working and they all had signs on them saying Maintenance required. My second issues was the noise levels coming from the apartment above. It sounded like they were scrapping furniture across the floor till 2:00 am. I complained to the hotel and they did speak to the tenets above us. It was only later when the sound continued did we realise it was the sliding door to the toilet which was making a lot of noise in the apartment above. Again a maintenance issue."

"Luxurious and tranquil hotel, you come here and won't want to leave! The hotel has all the necessary amenities but it is also conveniently located if you want to venture outside, just a short walk from all the shops, restaurants and bars. The staff is very friendly and helpful."

"My wife and I travelled around south-east Asia for 3 weeks and spent 6 nights here and it was by far our favourite resort of the trip. The staff and amenities are amazing and the restaurants had so many options that I feel like a could have stayed another week and still not have tried everything. The quality of the food and drinks was exceptional across the board. The beach is private to the resort and many of the rooms are located right in the forest where there is an abundance of wild life. It was extremely common to see monkeys, monitor lizards, and exotic birds along with a long list of other wild life native to the island. They also provided a long list of complimentary services, one of which was a guided nature walk through the forested portion of the resort with a wild life biologist that happens multiple times a week. Food and cocktails are all reasonably priced and our room came with a 150RM/person dinner voucher that usually would cover a multiple course dinner with several drinks. We splurged a little on food and drinks but between the complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea mini buffet and the dinner voucher we easily could have eaten extremely well without paying. This genuinely deserves the title of being called a 5-star resort. I would highly recommend anyone going to Langkawi to come and stay at the Berjaya."

"Our favourite hotel stay to date, excellent staff especially Brian who checked us in and gave us many lovely recommendations. Rooms were beautifully decorated and newly renovated. Personally enjoyed this hotel more than Grand Hyatt KL which was also one of my favourite stays. Pool was small but lovely and clean with a view of the twin towers. Location was very good, around 14mins walk to KLCC with covered sidewalks most of the way. Would stay here again next time I am in KL!"
