I've only been to two Super 8s so far and for a first experience at this one, it was very nice. Staff were polite and friendly, room was clean, and the halls/common areas were also very clean and nice too look at.

The sheets were thread bare and scratchy. The comforter had a hole in it. The smell of the property is unpleasant. The shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The dirt streaks in the shower made you not want to touch anything. The front staff was nice. Very old hotel/motel and no updates. Probably won't stay there again.

The room had pretty comfortable beds and large well lit parking lot. The bathtub/shower was showing a bit of wear/staining and there was some overspray from painting the bathroom walls onto shower surround but overall appeared clean. Totally fine for our quick overnight.

This property is clean and comfortable. It was also quiet! I appreciated the continental breakfast options. Will definitely stay again.

A very nice clean room. Desk agent very friendly and welcoming. If you don't do stairs, this isn't the place for you. No elevator. Definitely would stay again.

Basic, clean hotel. I was kind of expecting more from a super 8, but this hotel got the job done. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very disappointing, probably one of the worst I have ever had. The cereal was stale, and very little options..

Essentials

It has a bed and a shower, and all of it was sanitized and clean. They had a scheduled power outage for some reason the morning of our checkout, which was unpleasant as we couldnt eat breakfast and it turned off the AC. Not notified prior to checking in either. Other than that it is about as advertised.

We stopped in Pella on our way to the Iowa Star Fair. What a lovely Dutch town. We stopped and got some goodies at one of the local bakeries. Best ever!! We went in to the fair. On our way home we decided we wanted to explore this quaint little town and I pulled up hotels. This hotel was close to college. It was very quiet in the area. The room was nice and it was really clean. We heard little noice from outside so we had a quiet night and sleep. Breakfast was a grab and go. We never saw anyone that morning that worked there! We left our key in the drop box that morning. And headed to our next stop. We would definitely stay here again. Next time on main level. Steps to second level.

Mishap & poor cleaning

I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. The pillows were dirty, dusty, floor was not swept, hair in shower yuck! The service was good. Lighting had struck the building a few days before our stay and not all the electronics were completely fixed, which was not the hotels fault. Our TV & phone did not work. The hotel personnel came and tried to fix TV, couldn't fix so he gave us a different room. The new room was much cleaner. My sisters room was not clean. She wiped down the table tops, cleaned the bathroom counter top wiped down floor had sticky stuff on floor, towels were brown when she was done.
