The cost for the location of being right on the beach is great. There have been updates done inside, but you can easily see where some infrastructure needs to be addressed. Caulking missing, loose tiles, boards in screened in porch, boardwalk to be replaced, outlet issues, lights not working. Bathrooms are very small. All of that is easily overlooked because of the location and cost. The only real frustrating experience we had were the renters above us. They arrived a day later than us and we could hear them walking around and talking at all hours. They also decided to clean their charcoal grill by dumping it below them, which meant just outside of the screened porch, so we spent a morning sweeping that off. Honestly I dont believe they were trying to be rude, just unaware of how easily the sound traveled to our living area. My suggestion would be avoid Holiday Down and get Holiday Up just because of other guests. Furniture was comfortable, lots of seating on porch, beds comfortable, heat/cool system great, kitchen stocked very well (minus any pantry essentials) and we were provided plenty of towels.
