"We loved the location of this hotel, it was walking distance to theaters and many top restaurants. The staff were always helpful and friendly. However, it needs some serious maintenance work. The shower never drained right, the second day we had to turn off the water three times in the middle of showering to let the water drain so it wouldn’t run onto the floor. After they tried to fix it we only had to turn it off once during each shower. We had water leaking from the ceiling in the bathroom on three mornings. The first time it happened it was clear from stains on the ceiling that it was a recurring problem. So not sure we would recommend this hotel for those reasons."

"Much better than expected based on reviews I had seen. No issues at all. Friendly staff at check in (although it's all done on an iPad but you need your booking ref which you don't get from Expedia). Room did what you needed. Good shower, nice bed. No TV but I was barely in the room and no hairdryer but I brought my own. "

"Was really disappointed with thus hotel snd communication. Their wax s problem with electricity. I was not notified from the hotel prior to my stay. I did find out tho through my daughter. I contacted the hotel the day before our stay, I was assured they everthing was being done to make our stay the best. The manager I liaised with surprisingly was never to be available to chat further with. 3 days snd nut once for she return any message they were left got her. I was then offered a refund for 30% which I am still waiting for. Our stay was 9th 04, it’s now 6th 05th. I would not say anything other than totally left humiliated and left to feel worthless. A great time not to celebrate my daughter turning 25. Be warned this is totally a really bad hotel for making you feel you’re getting a great experience. "

"The President is a decent and affordable hotel handy for Euston and king’s Cross, close to Russell Square and the Tube Station, lots of restaurants, cafes and bars and it’s an easy walk to thectheatre district. It’s not fancy but you tend to just sleep in the room when in London and my wife and I really like The President Hotel."

"Quick check-in without any issues, room was spacious and clean. Staff and doormen were helpful. Great location for shoppibg and dining."

"Front desk staff / security were friendly but occasionally had to wait for them to finish their personal conversations before being acknowledged. The room was adequate but you should ask for one towards the back of the building because the road noise is excessive. Bed was a bit sunken in at the middle. Bathrooms and shared kitchen were decent but some guests are inconsiderate and filthy. The cleaning staff does the best they can to remedy that. Breakfast was terrible. Cold bland food, disorganized systems, and the staff clearly don’t want to be there. They were snippy and rude for no reason. So I skipped the free breakfast after the first day. Luggage storage I was told wouldn’t be available but then I saw other people storing their luggage, so I don’t know what happened there. Also note that you need to climb a small set of stairs to enter the building which can be tricky with luggage. "

"Our room was on the back of the builfing on the north side. It was very quit and close to the elevator. The hotel was convenient for getting around the city by tube."
