"A quick drive from St Louis and we were happily secluded in nature. Safe and secure with hosts that make sure you have everything you need. Lake views, outdoor seating, nice fire pit, full kitchen and VERY comfy beds for all inside. Caledonia is a great little town nearby. State parks for longer hikes in all directions. Although you can stay put and walk around the lakes on site. So many options for various groups- families or friends alike. Would definitely book again."

"This served as a perfect base of operations for visiting the Shut Ins and seeing Ironton’s Mountain Music Festival. Being on the backside of Shepard Mountain it’s super quiet and separated from the world… but town is only a few minutes away around on the other side of the base of the mountain.
