We had high hopes for this property as the site for our family reunion, but it ultimately fell short. The home is large and the kitchen is well-equipped. The yard was great for outdoor activities, and the location was perfect for enjoying 4th of July events.However, there were many disappointments. There was a camera inside the living space, which VIOLATES VRBO policy. The host dismissed our concerns. There was no TV, minimal comfortable seating, and per the house rules, we were not allowed to rearrange furniture to better suit our group. The beds were extremely uncomfortable—some family members left early or slept in their vehicles. Temperature control was inconsistent, with rooms either freezing or very hot.After booking, we were informed we’d be sharing the property with another group, which was not disclosed. This led to noise and parking issues. WiFi was unusable, and access to advertised entertainment areas required an extra fee. No BBQ was available—we had to buy one. The cleaning checklist was excessive, especially given the home’s poor condition at check-in: dirty bedding, rodent droppings, and cobwebs.We tried resolving concerns with the host, but received no support. The property has potential, but we wouldn’t return unless major improvements are made.
