I am writing this as i am still staying at this hotel. The only thing good about this hotel is the price and proximity to Champs Elysee. My room was right near the stairs. Horrible. People stomping up the stairs all night. Noisy. No air condition room was stuffy. Shower was awful and slippery. I was expecting a tub for a full bath. Gnats flying around my room. Supposed to have a water bottle replaced everyday. It was not replaced as it should have been. Talk about cheap. I would never stay here again. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. But if you like no air, gnats and lots of noise then you will be okay

Good location. We used Uber and they picked us up at McDonald’s on corner adjacent to hotel. ATM located a block away as were several bakeries to get croissants for breakfast. Metro station (Charles deGaulle) is nearby. 24-hr front desk was a huge plus. They were helpful in finding our way around. There is a small elevator so no stairs or steps to climb to rooms. There is a circular staircase from the lobby downtown breakfast area. Cons: room was very small although that’s not uncommon in Europe. Beds were a bit too firm for us. Noise from sirens were disruptive. Heating in room is either on or off; you can’t manage temp setting. Helpful to have a window that opened to dispel the heat before we found out how to turn off the heat. We visited in Feb, so it was cold outside; even so, for us the heat constantly “on” was too much at night.

Breakfast buffet wasn’t refilled as things were emptied. Shower poorly designed so that the shower head just sprays the other side of the bathroom all over the toilet and extra rolls of toilet paper. Also: no non-stick/friction surfacing to very slick tub, and no handles or anything to assist getting in & out of tub which was elevated to difficult height getting into, very dangerous. Housekeeping took 25-30 minutes to respond for any request. Requested ice & they delivered a single glass with three half-melted cubes in it. Room service insisted on pre-charging for any order instead of allowing it to just be billed to the room. Housekeeping staff used same single elevator which caused long waits on a couple of occasions where they and their cart were taking up the elevator and had to wait longer for it to finally return to our floor.

Only stayed for one night. Was upgraded to a jr suite. Room was clean and spacious. Property did seem bit dated, but still elegant and tasteful. Close to arc de triomphe and champ. Did not explore hotel or interact much with staff.
