We really enjoyed staying so high up so we could see the waves and beach while drinking our coffee on the patio in the morning. We saw rays and big fish and could hear the waves crashing on shore.
Room was as advertised and well decorated. A few things to keep in mind:
Bathroom:
-There is a jetted tub, but the hot water doesn’t last long enough to make a real hot bath, more like just above like warm. The shower does last a while.
- There are enough bath towels. Bring your own beach towels. Two bars of soap are provided so bring dish soap, laundry detergent, and all your toiletries.
Bedroom:
- The linens were nice and the bed very comfortable. 4 large pillows.
- Small sitting area was nice.
- We never used the TV but it’s a good size.
- The thermostat is like a laser beam in your eyes when you’re trying to go to bed. There’s no way to turn the backlight off. We covered it with a washcloth to dim it.
Kitchen:
- There is a Kurig but no pods. Bring your own.
- There’s only salt and pepper, so if you plan on cooking light meals, bring everything with you. There’s basic cooking equipment.
- The washer/dryer combo is a nice touch. My clothes never fully dried in the dryer.
- Extra cleaning duster, mop, and dustpan and broom combo are in the water heater closet.
Patio:
- Plenty big for lounging (very comfortable) or sitting in the bar height chairs to watch the waves.
- I don’t recommend keeping the door open as SO many people smoke cigarettes and other things that your whole place will smell like it.
Elevators and Building:
- Elevators were terrible. We waited 40 min upon arrival for one. We learned quickly to wake up super early and to not come back until late at night to avoid long waits. It’s a really large tower with tons of rooms.
- Parking was never a problem but I don’t recommend large trucks or trailers.
- The walk from the garage, over the street, and to the tower was all in the AC and well maintained. The luggage cart on arrival/departure was awesome.
Beach:
- You can’t beat the sugar white sand and blue water! Chairs with umbrellas were $54 A DAY but we brought our own and easily set up next to them. You can rent jet-skis and ride the banana boats right from the beach. We felt safe leaving our stuff to play in the waves and walk along the beach.
