The Cactus Cove Inn and Suites

The Cactus Cove Inn and Suites

8/10 Good
"I was surprised with being charged a security deposit. It's only $50 and a temporary hold for a week, but I never seen this on the website. This also made me have to inspect our room and report a couple damages that were not ours. Kind of inconvenient. I guess breakfast would have been ok, but with a pet, you really can't go in and sit. So we had to skip breakfast. Otherwise, it's not a bad hotel but you can tell that it's an aged hotel. The staff was very friendly!! We would stay again if we were looking for a hotel again. I forgot to add, the outside door entrances are not secure. They have a code lock but it doesn't work to lock the door. Anyone is able to just turn the handle and enter. "

"Great spot in the middle of town! Went out there for a show at the lumberyard and was pleasantly surprised how close the venue was to us. For the price and a quick overnight trip, Not a bad little spot to stay in."

Hampton Inn & Suites Canyon

Hampton Inn & Suites Canyon

"This was a wonderful hotel. The free breakfast was the best I have ever experienced. They had two different waffle batter to choose from every day and not the same two batters everyday. There was precooked oatmeal, beagles bread for toast. A choice of 3 dry cereals, scones, muffins, 3 hot item, eggs, meat, potato, pancakes, French toast. Condiments were: Creamy peanut butter, syrup, sugar free syrup, whip cream, chocolate syrup, caramel syrup, mini chocolate chips, dried cranberries, walnuts, almonds, brown sugar. I am sure I forgot something. The room was clean and nice. The entire hotel was clean and had a new feeling to it. The gym was clean and equipment was in excellent condition. The staff were pleasant and helpful especially the lady who was at the breakfast area on monday August 10, 2026 (I can't remember her name)."

10/10 Excellent
"Our stay at this canyon-side house was unforgettable. Waking up to sweeping views of Palo Duro Canyon, sipping coffee on the deck as the sun painted the rock formations gold—pure magic. The home was spacious, comfortable, and perfectly located for visiting the park. We can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!I suggest waking early and watch the sunrise each morning. You won’t likely find a better sunrise than this one."

The Coyote Cabin at Palo Duro

The Coyote Cabin at Palo Duro

10/10 Excellent
"It was the perfect place for us to be. The view was excellent at sunrise. A few longhorn cattle visited us late one evening. We had our privacy from other guests, too. The cabin was furnished with everything we needed to be comfortable. Very good use of every space! Would highly recommend a stay, especially if you plan to attend the musical “Texas” which is performed down in Palo Duro Canyon in the summer months. Outstanding performance and extra special as the play is celebrating its 60th year of entertainment. And The Sad Monkey Mercantile is located adjacent to the property giving access to groceries and ice and a small cafe for meals if you choose not yo cook."

The Roadrunner Tiny Cabin at Palo Duro

The Roadrunner Tiny Cabin at Palo Duro

10/10 Excellent
"The cabin is perfect inside and outside. We had everything we needed. Very private and well equipped. Nicer landscaping with a purple flowers bush attracted several dozen of butterflies flew around the outdoor sitting area before the storm. It’s the perfect rental to visit Palo Dulo. Thanks to its proximity, we were able to visit this beautiful state park twice in extreme weather of extreme heat and severe thunderstorm warning! Palo Dulo is comparable to Grand Canyon! We went back to the cabin to avoid thunderstorms, had a cozy dinner inside, then drove back to the park for a short hike and watched sunset on the canyon with lightning and monsoon moved further away in the background! Best of all is the host’s hospitality. Kathy had us checking in earlier, had chilled cokes and snacks welcomed us, then sent extra water bottles for us to hydrate while visiting Palo Dulo. We had amazing time. Thanks so much Kathy."
