Lovely cottage in the beautiful private community of Terra Ceia. Rural setting a close drive to everything one could want. Plenty of room for a couple visiting the area. Closet space is limited, but doable using the spare bedroom closet. Enclosed back paved area with a small pool and canal access to kayak to the bay where we saw a manatee surface close by. Nice safe neighborhood to walk, also. A great place to enjoy Florida!

The house was so lovely. It happened to rain quite a bit the day we arrived and made the pool too cold to use. The backyard space is gorgeous but definitely bring bug spray! We happen to cook/eat in several times while we were there and while the kitchen is so cute, it did not have very many pots/cups/hot pad holders/etc. Overall a good spot to enjoy the area!

The hosts were very responsive and nice! I had an amazing time taking the canoes off of the back deck and soaking up the sun by the pool! We will be back when it’s hotter out to enjoy the full experience!

Great for family vacations

It was a quiet area. The pool was very enjoyable. Everything needed is on site such as coffee, dishsoap, laundry detergent, etc. I would stay there again.

Relaxing and private

My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing, quiet and private vacation away. The location was perfect. The pool was great. The kayaks were a nice bonus. The kitchen had enough for us to cook a couple of meals. The bed was comfortable. WiFi was good. The check in process was easy. Overall we had a great stay.

Great place to kayak and fish.

Week long stay…attracted by onsite kayak launch…easy paddle to the bay for fishing. Comfortable accommodations and nice clean pool. We are looking forward to rebooking another trip soon!

Peaceful!!

Loved the house, location, pool! So quiet heard nothing! Host was amazing! House was clean had everything this location was perfect visited 8 beaches no longer then 1.45 min drive to any of them!

Anniversary trip

The Sailor House was just as advertised. The pool was perfect, the beds were comfortable. You are about 45 min from Tampa Zoo/Aquarium, There are several minor/major league teams if you are into spirts. The beach is also just a short drive. The catchers Net just down the street is a great place to grab some food. We mainy cooked at the house..plenty of utensils and cookware. The only suggestion I would have is a lounge chair to lay by the pool. ( mainly because of me being unable to stay on a float 😄)

Tucked away gem!

It is definitely in a quiet neighborhood! We loved the location and took the kayaks out for a bit. For those interested in fishing, the Skyway Pier and just a few minutes drive. And the bed is cumfy!

Great property

This was a very well kept property with very responsive owner. Coffee on site! Was a very comfortable place with super comfy beds! We paddleboarded daily We did need to use a little bug spray a few days. I would stay again

Lovely stay

The Sailor House was a cute and cozy home that served all of our needs. House was clean and comfy, fully stocked with everthing you need. Great location in a safe neighborhood. Our son loved the pool, even though the water was chilly he was in the pool almost every day. I loved the back yard and just being able to relax in a nice area. Welcoming snacks were a big hit as well. It was nice to be able to drive North to St. Pete's beach which was about 20 miles from the house, or South to Anna Maria Island beaches where we enjoyed some wonderful beach days. Definitely a wonderful place to stay, and if we are back in the area again would not hesitate to book again.

Stay on canal close to Tampa bay

Very quiet neighborhood and well appointed property. It’s close to a convenience store/ gas station. It’s a short drive to Palmetto with grocery stores and restaurants. They had everything that we needed at the house and some treats left as well. Wish we could have been there in warmer weather to take advantage of the pool, canal and kayaks.

Quaint Cottage

What a treat this little gem is. Twenty minutes from St. Pete’s or Bradenton and an incredibly peaceful place to return to after a busy day out and about. Beautiful peaceful backyard, quiet neighborhood, good place to walk, bike and kayak. Fully stocked with the essentials and the owners greeted us by text within minutes of arriving. While our visit was problem free, I know the owners would have responded in a timely matter and resolve any issues we might have had. Highly recommend!

Respite from the snow

We rented this property to work from FL for ten days. The location was 35 minutes from Tampa airport, the area is beautiful, we took walks each day. Extremely clean! Met John while moving in, very friendly and helpful. Pool is not heated, so a January stay did not include swimming, but the back yard area is private and glorious! We used the kayaks and loved the quick access to the canals and bayou. Kitchen could use a few more pans, utensils for a long stay, but we made due. Couldn't find a blow dryer, but never checked back to see if one had been listed. Nice to have the W/D on site. It is about a 40 minute drive to any of the beaches, we went several times. Great restaurants and bars downtown Sarasota & Anna Maria Beach. We hit Seahut (3 minute drive), Ugly Grouper, Tide Tables (Our fave!!), Beachouse Restaurant and Fins at Sharky's in Venice FL. We also grilled several times. Highly recommend this place.

We loved our time in Terra Ceia. Our hosts were amazing and responded promptly. The property was perfect. We came for a beach trip but rearranged a day because we loved our house and surroundings. We would love to come back in September. This was a wonderful family vacation! Thank you!!!!
