"The cottage I stayed in needs some TLC. There were smudge marks around one of the doors, a loose switch plate in the bathroom, and a noisy fridge. The bathroom towels were gray in color, giving them a dirty look, the bottom sheet on the bed wasn't tucked in, and the pillowcases were too big for the pillows. The complimentary yogurt parfait for breakfast was fresh and delicious, but the pastry offerings are limited and tasteless. The hotel location is excellent, a stone's throw from the coastal path and downtown Pacific Grove. It's still a good overall choice, but it could stand some freshening up."

"Did not meet expectations. Facility needs more upkeep and general maintenance, mostly on the exterior and outdoor areas. Stayed in building Q, which had litter and some trash in the open hallway for the 3 nights we were there. The 2 bedroom queen with patio room was spacious and pretty nice I side, except for the numerous spots where the wallpaper was peeling. The dirty dusty grimy patio, and the shower head that wouldn't stay in place (pole kept dropping down). Pool was a nice temperature, but there were no towels available (sometimes for hours, 2 of the 3 nights). Restaurant onsite was pricey but pretty tasty. Pickle ball courts were abundant and free to borrow equipment to play."

"I was in holiday inn seaside less then 15 mins called Expedia that hotel was so down graded. I cancelled but the won’t give me my refund. "

"9/10 The stay was exactly what we expected, for the price of the room and a last-minute reservation. Room was dated, but spacious. Room, fridge, microwave, and sheets were clean. Parking was good, surrounding area felt safe, and room was quiet. We slept well. From the lodge, a short walk to beach, golf course, and lighthouse. Our room had a balcony, from which we could see the ocean. Front desk staff was polite and helpful—appreciated that! "
