"A lovely quiet guesthouse just the otherside of main road from La Punta area and the beach. Just off the road for collectivos to different areas of the town and the bus station. Our room was a good size, very clean, places to put bags, a table and ensuite with toilet and shower with hot water (rare on a budget for Puerto Escondido). "I had a really nice time staying at Planta for a few days in December! The owners were very kind and welcoming and the property is lovely and surrounded by nature, I would love to stay again! The beaches are a little ways away but very fun to explore on foot or by bike. It got fairly cool at night in December and I slept comfortably in the cabins. Hostel had amenities such as outdoor courtyard, ping pong table, mini computer lab and outdoor seats with free breakfast cooked by one of the staff members. Convenient location as it is within walking distance to many shops, restaurants and bars. Only downside was showers didn’t dispense water well and need a little maintenance and renovation. Overall a good experience. "

"Low key, no frills hostel in PV. Not the most social hostel I have stayed at. But I did travel at a quiet time. Nice to have your own pod for your bed with a curtain and walls for each bed. Hostel Staff allowd me to keep my bag there before check-in and after check-out. Located in the art walk area with many beautiful pieces of art very close. Cheap, close to the beach"
