Really comfy bed and a good location to take a short bus trip into the city centre. Easy to check in and the guy who worked there was really helpful. My only issue was the bathroom as the shower did not look like it had been cleaned recently and there was hairs on the floor of it and in the sink.

Never again

Nothing like was being advertised Would never stay there again was out the door by 8 the next day without a drink or shower. When we arrived at1.30 we were told to come back at 2.30 as the room was being cleaned, when we went in the toilet was still dirty the sink tap came off in my hand and there was mould in the shower even the door to the toilet was grubby. I tried to sleep on top of the bed was not going to get into it, although the bedding was clean and had been changed.

Arrived to a dirty bathroom that hadn't been cleaned at all. Very run down. Overall room was in need of a deep clean, and the sink had a smelly drain. Fridge had been turned off despite it being a hot day. Rubbish and mess outside the back door leading from my room. Not a pleasant stay.

Was an ok find. Expedia states you can check in at 1pm, but it's 2pm. The room was well equipped with a kettle microwave and fridge. The bath mat could do with a wash, loo could have done with an extra flush, before we got there but it's not too much of an issue. The staff were friendly and JRR Tolkien's grave is in the cemetery opposite!

Poor. Definitely would not recomend.

Checkin was poor. Door answered by lady on phone. Hardly spoke. Gave keys to us and showed us barcode for wifi and left. Never saw anyone else. Checked out with no one about. Just lefy keys on desk. Place was really run down. Bathroom was dirty. Didnt want to touch anything or use any of the facilities. Was also very noisy at night with family and kids. Smell of food hovered in air. Room was cold. TV signal was bad.

So awful we didn't stay

On entry the hall carpet was grubby and threadbare. We were given the room keys and told the room door was open. There was a pedestal fan running & a window open probably to disguise the smell. The bedding was stained and even had spots of blood on it when we pulled it back also hair on the pillow. The divan base was absolutely filthy, disgusting. The en-suite was grubby with dirty wc disguised with loo blue. Shower tray was awful and the silicon sealant had black mould in places. Needless to say we told the guy that the room was not to the standard we were expecting and we didn't wish to stay. We left as quickly as possible and came home.

Avoid not as described

Avoid this place at all costs. When we arrived the reception was empty which was expected as we had been trying to call in the week to find out the latest check in time and the phone was not answered. There was a mobile number stuck to the door and all the room keys laid out on a desk. Upon phoning the number I was informed they never receive info from hotels.Com and I will need to phone hotels.Com and get them to call the accommodation. Instead I agreed to send them a copy of my reservation as this was not our responsibility. We booked a room with a private bathroom but were informed this was not available, we were given a room with Burger King bags full of tea and a half eaten packet of biscuits in the drawer where you would put your clothes. The worst thing however was the breakfast which was supposed to be a full English at the time of booking and one of the main reasons we booked the hotel in the first place. At breakfast we were informed they have never offered this and instead were greeted with mouldy fruit, tired salad and tesco value ham, also there wasn't even enough fruit juice for us to each have a glass, so we had a coffee and then went to get breakfast from a local petrol station instead. I would also like to note this is outside the Oxford ring road and is a 15 minute drive into the city centre. Also the luxury toiletries described when booking turned out to be a large mostly empty cheap bottle of shower gel so not even any shampoo. Avoid at all costs.

Turned up at the property expecting a single room with bathroom The owner was out shopping and had to wait over 1/2 hour for her to return only to be told she doesnt have a contract with expedia and had no room for me to stay. She did try once to ring them to no avail. Terrible treatment when I had travelled over 3 hours. No offer of any room elsewhere was suggested. By this time it was after 10 pm and I had to try and find another place to stay Would definately not book with expedia again
